Sir Snipes Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Hard to say regarding the value but those twin cam D-series Honda engines seem to have a following. Not your average R8 for sure.

Dick Cheeseburger Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 The 216 GTi looks really clean. Surely it's worth fair money in that sort of condition? I'm struggling to comprehend that it's almost thirty years old.

rainagain Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I really liked it, especially the stop motion bits. Did you get the paint from the place in Thornton Richard recommended?

I had them mix up a couple of spray cans because we couldn't be bothered trying to faff about with the compressor and gun. rainagain 1

My first two cars were Shove-its, red W reg hatch followed by yellow X reg saloon. The former died when a tree rudely jumped out in front of it. The second was bought in haste (see: tree incident), and had a noisy diff from the start. One day when pulling away from a crossroads there was a bang and the diff wasn't noisy any more. But neither was it transmitting propshaft rotation into half-shaft rotation. I was quite unpopular as I pushed it sadly off the busy junction. Next car was a Mk1 Fiesta 950 base, which I have to admit was quite a revelation after the Chevettes. yes 9farty festers were quite unrefined compared to an chevette weren't they? ?
