DoctorRetro Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 RJC_7302 by srblythe, on Flickr Mrs SK has been using the Corolla this week, nothing to report apart from being typically reliable and a little bit boring to drive. Mot is up in April so will need to look into replacing the wheel arches shortly. Rot? TADTSBoring? TADTSReliable? Let's hope so. The Moog 1

RJC_7624 by srblythe, on Flickr RJC_7633 by srblythe, on Flickr RJC_7629 by srblythe, on Flickr I spotted both of them a few years ago and enquired about buying them, the farmer said he would sell the beige one but was using the blue one but now the blue one is knackered he will sell me both of them. I think I will buy both and try making a good one from both of them. Maurice Marina, eddyramrod, Lacquer Peel and 24 others 27
DodgyBastard Posted March 22, 2019 Author Posted March 22, 2019 The roffle win avensis has passed its mot! Hopefully my father will continue to take care of it and use it instead of letting it rust away in a damp garage like his previous Toyota camry. Supernaut Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 That tailgate on the blue one is ace. I now have a somewhat deranged scene in my mind of somebody riding a quad up it and then accidentally getting beheaded on the load cover. Lacquer Peel 1

DodgyBastard Posted March 30, 2019 Author Posted March 30, 2019 "Will it start?"*starter halfheartedly turns twice and dies*"Fuuuuuuck. That'll be no then" That Ranger repair was exquisite. Didn't want to weld though did it? The Subarus don't even look too bad, considering they're farm hacks...I was expecting it to start no bother, I had just removed the battery from the diesel w123 which I had running 5 minutes previously and fitted it to the ranger. There were a number of factors as to why it wasn't welding particularly well, the earth connection was poor, it was rusty and the metal I was trying to stick together varied in thickness so it wasn't arcing very well or was blowing holes in the thinner bits. The rest of the ranger isn't pretty so I wasn't all that bothered about trying to do a good job or make it look nice. captain_70s Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Weird how the front ends of both cars are fucked while the rears don't look nearly as bad.
bramz7 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Dare I say the beige one looks reasonably okay? Front arches inner and outer look quite ventilated mind you. I remember when these were bloody everywhere in Scotland.
