Right, so let's run through the bingo sheet.

Jewish Racing Gold

Dented

Stains on seats

The wrong gearbox

Italian Electrics

Did I miss anything?

Yes, the airbag light is on, though apparently it's because the passenger one has been switched off.

I might start a thread up to compliment the 'Cars I didn't know existed' thread called 'Cars that shouldn't have existed' and this Punto will be the first one on it.

My punto has a red light for the airbag fault warning and a yellow one for when the passenger side is disabled. And no its not a bit of glitz, they all look like that!

Yellow it is!

I've got a feeling they're a robotised manual but could be INKORRECKT.

Edit: seems the 5 speed is a semi auto and 6/7 speed is CVT.

Missing wheel trim.

JRG with bright blue trim combo that some latte sipping Eytye style guru thought was stylish* in 2002.

On the plus side:

Frontera in first pic

Line up of ideally sized frag hungry lock ups.

Er............

Gold punto auto with the Airbag light on and a huge dent. If you manage to find a buyer for that I'll be utterly impressed by your salesmanship . What a horrible vehicle !

Not to worry then cav, only means passenger side not switched on. Open passenger door and look at side of dashboard and see where the key hole is pointing. Should be on the off to illuminate the light. Regards transmission I think they are cvt with defined ratios controlled electronically. Never heard of a 5 speed mk2 though? I know the selecta on the m1 was standard cvt with low hold. Unsure of the mk2b though or later.

Thanks, will look at that after.

Oh, did I mention it stalls when you come to a stop? It sometimes sounds a bit like a 3 pot Corsa, though ticks over fine if in neutral. I suspect it could be the coil pack but not sure.

Tempted to do a Volvo style raffle on here, but with tickets at less than a tenner, obviously!

I'm out, just in case you do. Really, really out. In any case if you're raffling it, just put cms's details on the logbook to save time.

Is the semi-auto the same deal as our new Iveco 3.5t trucks have at work? They're about as good at making decisions as me when confronted with "which cake do you want". Go into or out of reverse and there's a good two-second pause - sounds quick, you rethink that when you're doing a 17-point turn in a cul-de-sac.

Tell any prospective buyer it's got an early version of start stop that requires you need to turn the key to start it back up rather than dip the clutch.

Fucking Fix It Again Tony's. I don't know how they did it but when I worked in the Fiat dealers every used Fiat we had to valet for resale had seats stained like that, every single fucking one needed the seats shampooed. Hateful things, also don't like that when the bastards stall or cut out you can't just turn the key back to position III to start them back up, you have to turn the ignition off completely then back on again.

Coil packs are common failure issues. The selespeed has a lot more issues you need to be wary of. I love my little punto and would love an auto but wouldn't ever combine the two

I thought the selespeed had steering wheel gear changer, not floor one? I honestly haven't a clue but I think this is a convential automatic.

It starts a bit rough, definitely missing and that's why it stalls when in D and stationary.

EML light is on, will need flashing I reckon to see what the problem is.

I've done the airbag light, thanks.

I think they are called selespeed. According to my owners handbook they have electronically controlled ratios which would say they are cvt?
