As long as I don't have to say anything nice about it and you don't mind if I video it being weighed in.

It's All I Want To Do

I don't like appearing too generous, but I looked in the boot today and found a spare rear number plate and not one but TWO brand new mud flaps which I think are genuine Citroen items.

Ah yes, but there is already one (shit looking) front one fitted.

I discovered how to lower the front seat today, so it's much more comfortable now. It also goes very nicely indeed when you press down on the persuader pedal.

I don't want a swap, soz (as much as I like your car) I'd either like CASH MONIES or something cheaper and dosh my way.

144,000. Allegedly had a brand new Citroen engine at 80,000, though no paperwork to confirm.

441,000 sorry.

I checked the mileage before and it's done 141,000, NOT 144,000. Think of it a three grand bonus that I won't charge you any more for. Don't forget shiter's discount applies to RRP and there's a Black Friday further reduction upon receipt of a 1997 edition of Razzle.

When my home Internet works again I'm going to change that to 'Cavcraft, drive crappy'

I was going to buy something else green blooded, but I'll tell you what.

If I get a phone call this week telling me Ive got this job I went for then (subject to shitters discount) I'll buy this and run it as my winter hack.

Right, I need this gone as I'll have to tax the MUTHAFLIPPA and I can't be arsed.

If it goes this week (soon as, really) it can be had for £350, no offence but it's not worth selling it cheaper as l'll just keep it and use it as a third car.

Will consider a deal where someone (a regular) can lob me say £200 and pay the rest next month if needed.

It seems like a natural progression for you Barrett after the BX, a Xantia so you can compare the two :)

Gowan, Barrett. It's just like a BX just without the trim rattles/squeaks and a bit rounder.

I wouldn't like to suggest this is prime Barrett material. But it is.

Even with my fast and loose school of mathematics I just can't afford to run another car right now. The BX is going to need a bit of cash chucked at it to get through a test and it really needs a good service at the same time. The Herald is also proving to be a good way of spending money at the moment, the Allegro needs the clutch doing... The 404 needs so much doing I can't even think about it, and I'm probably going to be picking up another French money pit/satisfying project at some point soon.

I'm half considering whether I could transfer the insurance from the BX to this for the winter to take the pressure off the older car getting fixed up on this month's wage, but I reckon it's a false economy.

Really, what I should be doing is getting the BX up to scratch and then spending a bit on the cosmetics. I have found a tame non-pro sprayer so might get a quote for a blow over to freshen it up a bit. It's an amazing car and I reckon I will keep it until it explodes tbh. I'd love a xantia next, but it's the right car at the wrong time.

Tried to get my BX on a classic policy, it was about £300 more than I ended up paying on a normal policy! I have a suspicion this would be similar, plus really my mileage is too high for that. I dunno what the BX had on the clock when I got it but I reckon I've done about 12,000 miles in it in the last few months!
