Right, Volvo freaks.

Stay tuned for pictures of Volvos from my recent trip to Goteborg.

The museum is in the port area and it was blowing a gale ootside.

This page 3 stunner P1800 was custom made for Gunnar Engellau, the MD of AB Volvo, in 1969,

and came in Engellau blue, with a silver gear knob and other extras.

Gorgeous!

And having a car's colour named after you...amazing.

Woah!

Gothenburg316_zps0cd502d0.jpg

Note the hatchback on this '263 GL'.

Relax, it was only a design study based on the 240 or 260.

I'd love an old round lamp 244 but they're getting to the same money Amazons were at a few years ago.

GR11 pix btw. :)

Definitely need to make a visit to the Volvo museum as it looks fantastic.

Cracking pics!

I need a Volvo in my life before too long - ideally a 264 estate, 262C or a 480. Celtic Fringe Volvo Massive?

Edit: got so over-excited I forgot to say great pics, thank you for posting.

Lovely Volvo overload, i must have a break from the internet before my head implodes

Excellant! Love the red cars. 262 looks superb in real red, I have never seen one that wasn't silver with vinyl roof (and rusty as an Alfasud)

This is heaven for me. That white 144 is magic.

And yet I wouldn't buy a modern Volvo. This just reminds me how much modern volvos aren't volvo-y -not anywhere near what they were.

The 263. 260 front. Marina TC rear. Lovely.

That p1800 "shooting brake" has an arse identical to the one you could buy a trans am with in the 70 's.

Amazing pics. I'm getting all moist over this.

Must check sky scanner out. Anything else worth doing there so I can sell a city break to the boss?

That 244 Turbo looks the biz. One of the best I've seen.

Thanks Mr Bungo, your efforts are much appreciated.

Thanks very much for taking the time to share these.  I hadn't realised how many cars they made which really stand out, though there are some styling disasters too in my eyes.

We can never visit all these places so really appreciate it when people take the time to make posts like these.

The Saab museum is a short train ride away.

The women are mostly stunning.

They have nice cinnamon buns - the town, not the burds.

Lovely photos.

I have always wanted a 164. My first 'big' car was a 164 (previously only dinky size):

Awesome! I'm not one for city breaks and all that but Gothenburg is at the top of my list for this exact reason!

No more pics of that flying C70? Looks like (and flies like) my old T5. Which I still miss. A lot.
