Nissan QX, never heard of them until I followed one yesterday. Trying to capture the same slice of the UK market taken by the Toyota Camry...

Haha, had one in the early noughties! Bland car, lovely V6 2.0 24v engine. Bought it on ebay for £1100. Easyjet to Luton from Aberdeen  and train to Nottingham. Needed some brake work and that was it. Drove it for a year, put a fresh Mot on then advertised it on eBay. Guy from London bought it for £1650, flew up to Aberdeen handed me a wad of cash and drove away happy!  Free motoring. Tayne will remember the 'taxi', lol.

That Talento looks like one of those Fkd up bobtail Range Rovers.

Just bizarre.

Saw a Saab 9-5(?) hearse and two stretched limos the other day. I've seen Volvo ones before, but never Saab...

Isuzu crew cab long wheelbase. Longer than two Fiat Talenti stuck together.

Could have been used as the basis for a LWB Frontera - can you imagine?!

As if the Mazda 121 wasn't odd enough already, there's a van version.

I knew Alfa Romeo made a few vans back in the 50's that look handsome in that oh-so-50's look that 90% of cars from the time have.

But I never knew of the AR6 & AR8...

Essentially the Alfa Grill thrown onto the front of a First Gen Ducato & Ivico Daily...

The AR6...

And AR8...

Fantastic rear window, like a mobile showroom.

Has anyone ever seen a Vauxhall Cascada? Glorified floppytop Astra with prices starting from almost 30 grand. You can still buy one new but is anybody actually doing so?

Edit: I posted this before reading the Peugeot/Vauxhall thread. The Cascada coincidentally gets a mention there: http://autoshite.com/topic/27218-peugeot-to-buy-vauxhall-opel/?p=1166443

That looks so weird and wrong, but I bet it would be an absolute hoot to drive!

There was one at Sharpewood Spares near Huntly for a long time, it might still be there.

I thought it was Omega based. It looks a bit big to be an Astra.

Autocar says Astra and it was launched in 2013 so long after the Omega bit the dust. Modern Astras are probably as big as a Cavalier though. MSN Cars have apparently declared the Cascada the worst value for money car you can buy in the UK now :)

Here's an official Vauxhall pic. Grey.

I guess Australian is an autocorrect fail for Astra and not a reference to the Vauxhall-badged Holdens we sometimes get over here. The Cascada might be a bloated lump but it's pretty small by Aussie standards.

Sold here as a Buick apparently.   I've never seen one and I have seen two Nissan Murano convertibles in the wild...

Yeah, bloody autocorrect. I usually proofread before posting but was in a hurry but the human brain seems to be evolving to figure out what should have been said after autocorrect has fucked it up.

Anyway I meant Insignia not Omega but it doesn't really matter.

So when you buy a 23 year old Buick convertible in 2040 this is what you get?

Compare it with the 23 year old Buick convertible I bought in 1983!

I love the story that the Matiz was originally penned to be the new Fiat 500, I hope it's true.  Certainly makes a lot of sense as the Matiz really is everything the old 500 was by being both brilliant and terrible at the same time.  Also, the Matiz still looks a little bit like a frog welly when painted green.

I've seen a handful of Cascada's in Aberdeen.

I'm stupid enough to actually consider one when they drop to near shed money...

Cascada also fits your taste in music.
