A quick big-up to my '81 Subaru MV, which passed it's MoT today with no advisories

 

 

I guess that's the benefit of (1) being Japanese, (2) garaged when not in use, (3) never driven in the wet and (4) only doing about 250 miles in the last year (mainly taking shite to the tip)... oh, and ferrying the family boxer around

Yes great truck. I must get mine on the road, been laid up far too long. Mines the later one on a J plate.

That is truly a lovely motor. Goes particularly well with those white 8-spokes. There were loads of these pickups around in the 80s but it's years since I've seen one on the road here in Scotland.

Those stock Weller style wheels always look like they're on the wrong way round (spokes bend inwards). Other than that, they're awesome.

These were everywhere in rural Aberdeenshire when I lived there . Not many survived due to the poor treatment they received I suppose . Shame really as they were a lovely tool
