Renault 16 - The Motion Picture - Remake (p7)

Oh so that's what you wanted the BX for! Apologies as I'd got the wrong end of the stick and you wanted to film from inside the boot!

Then again, all you'd probably get is the 16 in a sort of soft focus effect caused by clouds of black smoke. Could have been arty, i suppose.

No, you were right the first time - Dugong was taking 'motion blur' stills out of the boot, while Gary drove slowly with the hazard lights on along the quieter bits of road beyond our usual turning point.  I just set the GoPro going on the way up the hill before we got to the quiet road, and again on the way back to the field - the turning round sequence at the top was shot earlier in the day.

I thought that vid was crying out for "On Days Like These" though

Perfect! I should have thought of that.  So here's an alternative version, with suitably shite special effects.

Here you go, I've just uploaded this for you. :)

That's ace! Love how the R16 out-handles the big Ford by a country mile (despite a little three wheel action at one point).

Skiz,

Was round at my dads earlier and we were chatting about old motors in the family and he reminded me that he had two R16s.

No pics of the povo-spec pale green one he had for ages but here is on pic of the slate grey TLX (?) which he had for 2 years and passed on to my younger brother

I sort of really like the R16s but could never have one as it would bring back bad memories of my A level Pure Mathematics teacher who, for some obscure reason* hated me and she was unprofessional enough to let it show, unsurprisingly I dropped out of her maths group. Funnily enough I had the last laugh as, to prove a point, I later did complete the course elsewhere. Hers was a mid-blue TX.

*Thinking about it her hatred was probably justified, as I was an obnoxious little shit in those days, some would say I'm no better now, just older.

That is SEXUAL.  It's a TX, so top spec and with the quickest engine - pretty late one on a T-plate.  I think they might just have sneaked on to a V but I could be wrong.

Really like that colour, too.  Yum.
