Even if you threw money at a friendly local garage to sort out the waterpump, they are so cheap and easy to work on that you would probably get a perfectly functioning MOTed vehicle for under £400 and then with rust treated and the car polished up, it would easily go for £1k to a fanboy or girl.

I just looked on MOT history to see how much it's got (October) and was interested to note that between 2010 and 2011 MOTs it did 60,000 miles, before that under 10,000 pa and since then similar except for last year when it barely did a 1000.

I'm a sad bastard , but stuff like this makes a car more appealing somehow. Like there's a story that can only be guessed at.
