Wouldn't three of those add up to 648?

And about £397 over budget...

YES to the Aerodeck. Bottom half should be bronze / met brown please.

Two autoshiters had a free ride from Devil's Bridge to Preston, maybe you too...
Come back in this:

Not sure about too interesting. The Saab 900i 16v I had was thoroughly disappointing. The looks were interesting, but it was exceedingly underwhelming to drive. A bit like your dream night with Kate Winslet only to discover that she'd rather watch Big Brother than do anything naughty.

This is a more intriguing proposition.

Not sure what I'd do about that utterly shit bottom half paint job though. Paint it brown perhaps.

Know what you mean about n/a 900s, they're so competent that they can be a little boring at first, a little like 124s. But this one's a T16, definitely not underwhelming, even after a 2cv...

I did call about the Probe, as I do like them. Knackered clutch and no idea when timing belt was last done. NEXT!

This thread is like an episode of Bergerac, full of chod but you cant quite tell how its going to end.

I like the idea of this non mot'd Volvo it's reminiscent of the E300 when you knew it was broken but still went to buy it anyway then suffered months of shit running and conking out at it's hands.

Gets popcorn.

Was bloody rewarding when I turned the corner with that Merc though. Paid too much for it sadly, then had to throw even more money at it. Got there in the end and it rewarded me with an absolutely fault-free drive to Kent and back.

There's always another banger rally rescue as with the Sirion. Perhaps it would end more happily?

£400 BIN with offer option, finishes tomorrow. Could be a decent car under all that crap.

EDIT - rather than de-stripe the bonnet, anyone got a decent non-grille one? I hate retro-fitted grilles on these.

Deffo too new - the specs have changed. No later than 1994 due to insurance reasons. Haven't got enough budget for the extra premium it turns out!

bring missus and day trip to frog too for 2cv parts obv :D

Nice, but fails on age. And stupid aero wiper blades. I do like purple for an MGF though. I make no apologies.

Potential purchase is in Sheffield, and I can apparently get there for £31. Why do I even own a car?! Trains can be stupidly cheap.

Car sounds good, owner sounds normal and pleasant. Do I commit? It's a car I want much more than a Volvo (sorry Scotland).

I'm not giving anything away at this juncture. Where's the fun in that? (especially as money hasn't changed hands yet).

I can see it coming.

You're going to get a really shite motor, aintcha Wobbler?

It's probably just a grille stuck on the front.

If you're lucky it'll still have the plastic grille bar thing underneath.

These two are original. (Pre-K-reg cars should be as my L-reg one, but with the shorter, squarer indicators.)

That's so polished and shining you could use it as a shaving mirror!

"Rover 620, honda engine L reg. Full history from new,

New exhaust, new battery, new tyres all round.

Taxed until end of july, tested till July 2015"

111,000 miles

And everyone in the street seems to park with their nsr wheel on the kerb.

I feel a bit bad about that Acclaim to be honest, I shared it on the Acclaim Facebook page and a Welsh lad was straight on it. It looks as rough as arseholes to be fair but with a year's mot and the garage full of spares that came with it, it was worth every penny of £200. Mind you I don't think you'd have enjoyed a Triomatic much though.

Prob needs more work than I can be arsed with though Trig. I don't feel like I missed out. Fat lady not singing yet and I'm off to bed. Another day, another failure to buy!

Which classic insurer are you with Ian?

Footman James covered me on an 18 years and 10 months old Rover, but wouldn't touch a 19-and-a-bit year old Toyota on a classic policy.

What I'm saying is that it may be worth giving yours a ring if you find a good 1995 600 for example.
