'Put a Tiger in Your Tank' - was a big Esso marketing drive in the 60's.

I remember you could get a 'fur' tiger tail  to attach to the filler cap of your car - to make it look like there was an actual 'tiger' in the tank.

Corgi did a Lotus Elan

A fascinating picture, the Dutch importer of Volga and Moskvitch was able to arrange a Chaika for this event in the early 1960s!

Interesting to see the Post Box with the Post Office arrow sign on top. I always thought that was charming somehow, you still see many with the fitting for the sign.

Very interesting London photo. So much happening.

Notwithstanding the decrepitute of the vehicles it's actually 1933 or just after - because Unilever House top left is completed.

Shows how much horse-drawn traffic there was for utilitarian tasks - a lot of that traffic crossing at that point will be on the way to or from Smithfield, Spitalfields or Billingsgate Markets.

Power via the rails rather than overhead, hence the power poles in the stowed position.

(The power was not in the rails at the road surface but other safer located rails)

Ruxley corner Sidcup.

Can anyone identify this vehicle? The image is of the Baker and his wife outside their shop (now a house) in my village.

That yard at Ruxley Corner had a little convertible welded to the top of a pole and painted bright orange. I did stop there once when they had a DS in but they wanted me to take the whole thing and I had nowhere to store it.

Photo of a flyer - says around 1970, we think Granada Estate in there would be 1972 onwards? R4 and (maybe) a R8 or Simca 1000?

It's difficult to find a good photograph from the same sort of angle but the unusual arrangement of rear spring shackle, 10-spoke wheels with five wheelnuts, and the relief on the side of the bonnet all looks like just-pre WW1 Mors to me

The front end and wheels of a pre war Mors (never heard of them tbh) certainly fits. Thank you.
