It was the car my dad learnt to drive in, passed his test on the 14th of May 1980. His bearded collie "Angus" loved sleeping in the back of it!

Did Angus take any more pictures? ;)

I've been trying to do some scans of German car magazines recently, I'll upload some more on the Shite Magazine scans topic when I can:

Here's a selection of Vauxhall publicity shots from 1992.

I was hopeful that the registrations would yield some interesting results, but they are mostly unissued ones from the DVLA, complete with Swansea codes.

K526XNK is the sole real one, being listed as a Grey Vauxhall Astra Convertible registered on 14th October 1992.

It's not on the DVLA tax checker, but the last MOT was on 11th December 2007, which suggests is was a victim of the scrappage scheme.

The full set is here:

Was this a Nancy Sinatra lookalike contest?

^^^^ There's quite a lot of sheds and old ruins in those Vauxhall photos.

(just sayin')

Looks like a knobbly knees competition.

Presumably deflating the tyres to unstick it. 53 Route is Plumstead  to Lambeth.
