Oops I did it again, - Prairie Dogging.

So, in a flurry of last minute bidding (not really, just makes it seem more exciting!), I have won the auction for a 1992 Nissan Prairie 2.0.

Not sure exactly what possessed me to buy it as I don't need a car, I don't think it will be particularly thrilling to drive, and it is pretty dreary to look at (except for the natty two-tone paint).

Oh well, I don't keep cars long anyway do I? :)

Hey, for £310 what can possibly go wrong?

wow that looks grim........well done. :-D

I actually have no idea what that is. I am not saying I have never seen one before, its just that it looks so bland I am not sure my brain even registered it.

Like the seats though.

And the number plate letters stand for 'Big Gay Prairie'.

2 MANY PILLARZ.

If it's auto and you decide not to keep it, let me know.

OMGOUTBID. Gutted.

Please don't tell me you were the £300 bid? It would be the second time I've outbid a fellow shiteist when buying a car.

Posted

It is an automatic and the likelyhood of me keeping it is somewhere between 0% and 1.5%.
 :)

Believe it or not, I went on ebay looking for two cars...

VW Scirocco

Mazda 323 (pop up lights one)

Darned if I know why I even saw this!

I'm not being anti-Chinese zoo animals or anything, but which 'Panda' are you? if you're the one who complains about £200 cars going wrong, then I'd say 'everything' about 18 minutes after you've collected it!

I bid on it primarily because it is an automatic. Likelihood of me buying a manual is somewhere between 0% and 0.0000001%.

I think that looks splendid.  If you decide not to keep it, I may well have found my next Winter Beater.  How much t&t does it have?

I just made a rash purchase on ebay- luckily it was just a pair of new mudflaps for the merc.

I'm top bidder at a whole sick squid on some used furniture..... ends tomorrow, shall I let you know how it turns out?

In the politest possible way, ... Piss off. :)

I'm not PandaSelecta.

TIL there was a Mk2 Prarie. I just looked on Wiki (seems there was a Mk3 too, news to me). WTF is going on here though:

There's two types of Mk1 Prairie. The one we got  in the UK and that type. That one came about as an AWD version and has a raised boot floor to accommodate the rear diff. Confusingly, not all the ones in that style are AWD though.

There's two types of Mk2 as well...

So much beauty in design....

I think it looks rather perky (Pandamonium's, I mean, not its fat ugly sister darker blue sister).

I like the festive two-tone blue. Most of these were urban camouflage two-tone beige, which is why everybody thinks they've never seen one.

I won't be buying it off you, mind.

Those 1989-94 (?) Praries were alright imo. Nicer looking than the Serena that replace it

I really like this. I'm not sure why.

I know why. It has a two-figure number plate.

By the way, I still haven't picked this up yet. The car is at the sellers place of work and is not taxed, meaning needs picking up during the week. I am not able to take any time off in the next week or so. However - being as I don't have any particular need for this car, if anyone wants it, feel free to contact me and we can arrange something.

I may know of an early Mk2 single carb Scirocco in bronze with cool brown interior that some dude wanted a bag for.  Shall I check if still available?
