AWESOME.

(When I look at howmanyleft.com there aren't any Tagoras.  I'm pleased to see that it is wrong!)

There are at least three Tagoras on here aren't there?

Its not April the 1st is it...

Tomorrow, at least this year... and looking at the paperwork, it clearly shows some french owners and then my name.. :-D

Here are some more pics.

Of course, first the gasstation shot on the first day out, still on the silly factory steels wheels..

All of the win! I seriously hope we manage to attract a Tagora to Shitefest. Anyone willing?

What is the story with these wheels?

They look like a reinforcing plate has been screwed on. Is that so? I never saw anything like before.

These are Gotti P15 racing wheels. They have two parts, the screws around the rim are not decoration but actually hold the outer rim and the center piece together.

Actually, driving these wheels currently is a bit of fun because the 4 wheels came with three different tyre sizes: 205/50, 205/60 and 195/60. I have no idea why that and how somebody could actually have driven a car like this.

Yesterday, we went out on a short trip to the eastern part of Bavaria to a forgotten house far from the next village.

What lead us there, the nice landscape? Sunny weather?

No, we couldnt care less. We were out treasure hunting.

What we found there after clearing out an old hay wagon and some other crap is truly astonishing and almost unbelievable.

This is a brand new  2.2 L "Douvrin" engine, prepped by Danielson for ~200HP with lighter pistons, connections for an oil cooler, custom head with enlarged and polished channels, larger valves, harder valve springs, hot cam and modified spark seats.

This is the very type of engine that was used in this car:

and it will of course soon be fitted to that car:

The treasure back home:

Hopefully it will soon look like this:

I still cant belive this myself, what are the chances to find such an engine? 1:100000? find a NEW one? 1:millions. Find a new one less than two hours from home 1:billions?

To quote Terry Pratchett " Million to one chances happen nine times out of ten!"

Well done on the find though! Was it finders keepers or did some of the folding stuff have to change hands?

back from a weekend trip to France,  Dinin Tagora enjoying its natural environment:

Didn't we talk about french cars self-healing capabilities here recently?

This was Saturday morning in Switzerland:

post-5425-0-18654500-1444762155_thumb.jpg

OMG, water pump leaking big time. Happened of course some place in the Jura far from anything.

post-5425-0-20842700-1444762537_thumb.jpg

Drove down to the next village and stopped at the market place to fill up water from the fountain and further check.

Filled up, start engine, look, look again , check again.. no more leak. Moved on and did another 1400 km to france and back home.. not a single drop of water lost. Was that french car quality or shall we start marketing that swiss miracle water?
