Taxed, MOT'd, oil leak (from oil filter housing we think) airbag light on and the tracking seems a bit out. I got £170 off the (£300) asking price on the phone and even I didn't have the heart to try and barter further. So I was all like YOLO and drove it home 4.3 miles. It's a 1.4, so in the same 'ball of fire' bracket as my 306 and Corsa.

Does it have the plastic housing element type filter ? They have 2 square section o rings between the alloy housing and the block. They leak for fun. Expensive for 2 o rings . About 15 quid iirc.

I think it has a sort of poxy black plastic oil filter housing, cheers for that.

Awesome ethereal photo. Has Yvette "Screamer" Fielding and the fake medium been informed of the Haunted Xsara?

I've just realised the number plate (nearly) says YE, BINNED YER so it's an ideal present for someone who wants to give their missus the nine ten jack.

I would have thought a phone call to CavCraft with a request for a 56% discount would be greeted with questioning of parentage, a swift fuck off and a tone indicating a lack of a connection.

Furthermore, said number would be noted and then scrawled on the toilet wall of a less than salubrious public house with a promise of "free blow jobs for the mentally ill".

Methinks there is an awfully black kettle down there in Chestershire...

You can call off the glazing firm, there ain't no broken windows in my glass house. I conversed with the owner who thought scrap was paying Ã‚£300 and told him where to check for himself that it wasn't.

About 12 years ago my sister had a black pre-facelift 1.8 16v coupe. Lovely car it was, and a mate had a VTR around the same time and he also loved his to bits. Funnily enough I was only this morning watching an Old Top Gear video on YouTube of Quentin 'genuine mileage, guv' Willson giving the coupe a right shoeing, but he's a dick* and therefore completely wrong.

(*IMHO)

That looks mighty sound PSAviour.
Always liked the Xsara, modern enough to be safe & comfy without all the complex ECU bollox of the C4 and a nice wee petrol engine too.

FFS that's less than a months payment on a 107 or a Ka or whatever shitbox is apparently a bargain this week. Unbeatable value!

Obviously if someone's after a cheap knockabout car, it's ideal. And for sale.
