Woke up in plenty time this morning, and set off. Damn, this walking lark is tough. Must've looked like a right tourist, staring blankly at the train time tables and maps!

 

First hiccup was when I nearly missed my stop because the train I was on displayed the wrong station name on its screen. Glad I looked out of the window before the train moved off!

 

Now on a London Overground train which sounds like an old bus and appears to have a duff wheel bearing.

Shame you're not going further north where the trains ARE old buses. Pretty much.

Well, I did accidentally walk through some dug up pavement while looking at my phone.

The weather? It is fecking freezing. And that is coming from a Geordie.

There was a smear of dog poo by the tree near the car. It appears to have been produced by a medium sized dog, light brown coat, short hair...... possibly a Staffie X. Can't quite tell if it was a male or female. It seems to have a fairly well-balanced diet as it was neither crumbly or over-soft.

There is a nice small shop on the corner of the next road, competitive pricing too.

No refreshments yet. Still need to find a cashpoint, but there's a little walk between the last station and the car, so should find one there.

I'm not sure how much the sound might distort at maximum volume in a P reg 406. Could be worth a try though.
