Nothing inside these things except a floppy spring that makes intermittent contact and connects the horn if the car shakes.

So would I.  What I wouldn't have done after spunking two bags of sand on a 1971 Slag in the hope of attracting said stretch-nylon bunny is fit seat covers off a diseased HA Viva whose owner's arse had worn through the Ambla....

Good job they printed the words "HIDDEN BOX" on this, or else it might not have stood out to anyone looking under your car.

"damn, I locked my keys in the car. Fortunately I am carrying a small flathead screwdriver so I can remove the headlamp assembly"

My Dad had one of those key box things!     He forgot about it when he traded in his HB Viva - I was tempted to go and steal it back after the FD he bought started to play him up.   I was only 15, though....

A lot of surfers round here use them. Handy idea if you don't tell me where you hide the key box. And if I don't then move the car to the other end of the beach for the hilarity.

Hide your keys inside the headlamp?

Isn't the point of "hiding" not to stash it behind something transparent?

"I'm just going to hide behind this window" said nobody, ever.

When I used to do bodywork I found a few of those hidden key boxes under the chrome bumpers, particularly Jag bumpers, they were always rusty and full of water and clearly forgotten about by previous owners.

Plus the ruse will be up when you beam a key-shaped silhouette though your neighbours front window.

I used to have one of these hidden behind the rear bumper of a Mk2 Fiesta - then once the car was open I had to get the little brass key out of the ashtray and pop the bonnet to disable the alarm.

Llangollen motor museum have one of those, I took loads of pictures of it. If it was for sale Id have bought it. Do regret not asking if their Hoover upright was for sale...
