That mk4 Cortina must be one of the oldest ones left

YOU SHOULD never hit a man with spectacles. A sock full of coins is far more effective

Mangled 2cV.

Oh, hang on you want a bag of sand?

I think it was someone on the 2CVGB forum who joked that this is why you should never jet wash a 2CV...

To be fair, if the chassis is ok, that probably looks a lot worse than it is. The suspension arm bearings and axles are immensely strong, so a new arm, new wing and a bit of panel beating on the lower body and you're away - though the underseal tidemark is a potential worry...

Shitting hell, I'm bloody glad I didn't spot that Cortina when I had some money left as it's not far from here and I don't actually need a project car.

That's two of us. I'd have happily snapped his hand off at £800 for that.

our local caravan dealer (Pearman Briggs) has one of those caravans too.

Starting price: £6000 LOLOLOL!

That is because it is a "unique opportunity". Always a good reason to add an extra nought!!

37k mile Astra 2.0 8v CD (top of the range, below GSi) for £595 with long tax and test and full service history:

Better than a brand new Astra in every way.

That CF does seem very well executed but it's just crazy money. You could score a 'proper' American day van (not a copy) for a fair wedge less and whilst it won't be as unique as the CF it'll be just as competant and probably better equipped.

I remember seeing that CF on retro rides as it was being built - I thought it looked like a pile of wank then and I still think so now, but that price tag makes it even more laughable.

How many rapists from the 1980s have a spare £9k to spend on wheels anyway?

The text reads like he doesn't want to sell it anyway.

Clean car, wrong engine:

So they never changed the oil and fired it up. Genius.

I don't much like that CF van myself but having looked at that retropower site some really nice work has gone into it. If the lad has paid to have that done i think it will have cost him the asking price easliy.

Seen the van in the flesh many a time, lots of quality work in the detail... but yes its a Marmite van, either you like it or hate it.

Or changed the tyres at any point.

Anyone else notice this in the ad?

Odometer reading of less km than on the tripometer. Either something didn't work/is slightly amiss right from the factory, or it's been clocked.

EDIT: Me being fick there - I got them the wrong way round. Point about the tyres still stands though.

The Fiat 126 mongs claim to have suspended the car from the ceiling or something similar. They can whistle for that money, it's worth 10% of that at best.

Sounds good, but who gets to do the massaging?
