Just been looking at Novas on the bay and what not. Would love an unmolested GTE or SR but the handful that aren't advertised as 'C20LET RED TOP TURBO NOT ON LOG BOOK' are fetching bloody big money now.

PaulH had been looking for one of those Sprite wheels for ages, to replace the sporty one on his car once its up and running again. Was dead chuffed to finally find one a couple of weeks ago for a middling 2 figure sum. Of course for years people would have been taking them off to replace with a shirt button of some sort.

Not entirely original, but still a real beauty. £1295 though  . Bloody nora! Even I wouldn't go as far as far to say it's worth that...

Here's another good one. Excellent condition for sure, but I'm not entirely sure a late Sierra Sapphire Cosworth is worth £13,495 :o . It doesn't even have leather...

I'd love an mkl5 16v LX in two tone. I have no idea why.

Looking at that picture Pete-M has beaten us to it!

This seller has a few expensive items for sale usually but to be fair he seems to get some bloody nice stuff in. He usually has some very nice Lambrettas in including this one...

...which is quite expensive for an Li but I'd roll it no problem.

Bloody Nora! It's gorgeous and I'm probably the biggest champion of old Austins here, but TWENTY-FOUR LARGE?

That seller must be smoking some seriously good stuff.

Other ebay items include a '2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate 240 Metalic Silver' @ £2,750 and a couple of ridiculously overpriced Audis!

The Hereford is bound to attract Austin nutter types, afterall when was the last time you saw a Hereford let alone Hereford pick-up!

That said, 24 large is a little excessice.

Funny how the seller of the 'Trickett Style' Mini omits to mention that the original designer, Neville Trickett, is still in business, creating Original Trickett conversions...

Posted
Neville Trickett only converted one estate car - This is was built as a tribute to that missing car

Yep. Except that car has since been found in sound original condition and is awaiting a restoration. That might be worth 8 large in its present condition, but not a rep.

I reckon the MiniSprints look ace though and he's clearly done a ton of work on it

Actually, was reading in Classic Car Buyer this week that it sold for £19,880 at auction the other week. Takes two people to get the bidding that high, so the interest certainly seems to be there. Still seems a lot of money to me!

Hi Brian! What happened to the Escrot in the end? Scrapped by now I suspect.

Hi Brian! What happened to the Escrot in the end? Scrapped by now I suspect.

Viscount Basingstoke got a train up from London in about June 2008, pressed some folding into my hand and bombed off back to Sarf London in it. A few weeks later his sister commandeered it and used it for a holiday in Cornwall, that's the last I heard of it.

I had some memorable drives in that, including a flat-out early morning cross-country blast from mine to Santa Pod (85 miles in 75 minutes) and a 360-degree 80mph aquaplane on the M40 near High Wycombe on my way back from the Ace Cafe without hitting anything. Miraculous little beastie for a 1300 HCS.
