Starting bid: £55,000.00

Private number plate on V5, HUN 79R looks like HUNTER...

Due to loss of job etc having to sell this excellent example of a plate..

I have take the photo of what the number plate would look like if on a actual plate. The auction is for the right to the numberplate, all other fees will have to be paid by the buyer.. Making of the plate etc

The price is high but so is the quality, a certain investment for the future...

Good luck

Mick

 £55k? I'd at least want those plates attached to something.

How about this; not sure what these are worth, but £16,000 seems a bit steep

I'm guessing matey as spunked ££££££ on it, and now think's he'll make a profit, in a Wheeler dealer stylee. It is quite pretty though.....

Can those effing big wheels turn in those front arches? Great for straight on trips

If that's a genuine Abarth then so am I! It hasn't even been restored, it's been customised. People need to know the difference. Those alloys need to go in the Grump thread... or a skip.

Posted

Somone should report that to the ebay police, like Eddy says that has absolutely nothing Abarth on it! (except for the wheels... are they off a 131?)

I'm no expert but when exactly did Abarth built a 126-engined 500 with a wanky Kustom dashboard and 1980s seats?

(tell you what does need to go in the grump thread, people saying 'a-bath' when it's pronounced abarTT. Grrr!)

There was one for sale last week, exactly that colour and everything, went for just under £700.

Norm, by 1985 the Renault 4 was quite an old design, having been launched in 58. There's quite a precedent for running old designs for way too many years, starting with the Model T. If the public (or perhaps "Les Publiques") keep buying them, the manufacturers will keep turning them out until they want to make shedloads of extra cash from the newer models.

Sure, why not? What kind of perfectly practical, towing-friendly family-size estate car can you get for 2K, that will make almost everyone take notice as you pass by? How many new friends will you meet during conversations that begin "My dad had one of those..."

Admittedly I haven't read the listing, I'm going purely on the snap and Seth's reaction to it. If it's as good as the pic says it is, then why not?

I know what you're saying, it is indeed a very practical classic but the Hunter estates I have previously watched have ended up around the £1000 mark. I think he'd be lucky to get 2K even though compared to many other equivalent cars from other marques that would seem a bargain.

Set of wheel trims for a Panda 'Italia 90'....Rare I admit, but highly unlikely to be any takers at the BIN

They are very cool and very cheesy at the same time! I've recently aquired a load of car-related literature and there was a press photo of the Panda Italia among it with I think Geoff Hurst posing with it. It's on my list of tat to scan in for everyone's perusal.

Ooooh, a lovely Sunbeam Rapier in truly superb condition. Must be £7000 worth on a good day, and deservedly so.

£15900

Oh. Maybe not then.

Near to where i grew up in Colchester there is a Skoda dealer, for years it has been overpriced, they never seem to change stock so today i popped in quickly to take a look.

I only manage to get two photos as it's on the main road and i wasn't sure if it was open or not.

This Octavia was up for £3499, This hasn't been taxed since 2009, There was also a R reg Felicia for £3499 and a 02 plate Citroen C5 for £3499. I'll try to get back one day and get more photos.

Just checked google streetview and the C5, Felicia and the 406 are on the fourcourt even then!, and the Silver Primera is still in that space as well.

Might as well buy one of those Subaru Sambar things with a VW T1 bodykit and spend the rest on a supercar.
