Agreed. And the fucking herbie stickers too.

When I've tarted my van enough to sell it for decent money I think I'll be looking for something a lot like this

I had 57 watchers !!! Nobody was bidding and more before. What do you expect a low mileage 405 for a few hundred quid then search for another 405. Mine is no shed.

Lol

I sort of feel sorry for the guy because he is selling his models in his other auctions. He probably is unemployed and out of money.

Pretty sure that heap of shit airbrushed Beetele was for sale for about 18 years on eBay somewhere up the Wirral/Liverpool area, and (quite rightly) no-one with any sense went anywhere near it. Until the current owner must have consumed enough mind bending drugs to think it a decent buy.

I've owned her since June 2010, if my circumstances were different I'd keep her until the end.

She is dry stored in my nan's garage because I am unemployed.

Sadly you're right... but he still probably won't be seeing that £500 any time soon.

I did try and explain all this to him relatively politely but just got abuse back. You can only tell people so much...

SHE IS A STUNNING 405

Having previously been made unemployed suddenly, I do feel sorry for the bloke, slightly.

What I don't understand is that he'd probably see £500 or so for that 405 if it had a fresh ticket. If it's as good as he says it is then it should get through with no problems. I realise he's potless but for £58.50 he'd have a car that's a damn sight more saleable than it is now. Surely someone he knows could cough up the money to see him straight? His reluctance to do this suggests he's either a: a narrow minded arsehole that's going to get reamed for repeat listing fees, or b: the car isn't as good as he says it is.

That 405 isn't special enough to warrant trailering away. The only 405 that would fetch that sort of money untaxed and with no MOT would be an Mi16 or Mi16x4.

As above really. Having been on the dole I can confirm it's dog shit, but his advert really isn't helping him and not only does he sound desperate he also sounds a bit cocky, and that's a sure fire away to alienate potential punters.

I just wrote to him..im sure he'l be impressed and wont answer...

Firstly..how do come up with the price figure when there is none others to compare it to?2ndly..its only a 1256c Viva which cant pull the skin of a custard..its why Aussies bought Toranas..3rdly..accounting for the price of a respray..we re looking at about $5k for a car that is simply not worth it.And forth..where will you get spares for it?I suggest New Zealand..and lastly..our family was good friends with Jim Russell..my aunt bought the racing drivers school off him.And ive owned two of these. My mint 4dr with rebuilt engine cost me $800NZ.

Now this looks ORSUM, only 19000 miles too but I can't see many people fighting over it for £5500.

It pushes the nostalgia buttons, but did anyone actually drive one?:shock::x

an interesting experience to say the least. I drove one that had the back cut off to make it into a milkfloat. with no weight over the back it would wheelspin alarmingly and also its nose would kiss the tarmac under heavy braking.

1978 Fiat 128 CL, £2,500

Looks reasonably tidy. Might just be worth the outlay. 8)

It needs a small patch of welding on the n/s/r jacking point and under the drivers door.

Oh. :(

Its a good runner but will need cambelt change soon.

Oh. :(
