I've been taking photos of bangers for a while now, and I upload most of them to Flickr (name, Charlie Cars).

 

Here are a selection of my favourites...

 

Maestro Clubman

 

Very faded Astra estate

 

An earlyish Mk 4 Cortina

 

Old Mazda 323

 

Flat tyre Citroen AX GT

 

This BX was unlicensed at the time.  This is one of just four of this type on the roads.

 

Rather green Ford Capri

 

Lovely unused Cortina.  Heard it was dug out a year ago, and run for a short time before sitting unloved again.  Tax disc reads 1991!

 

 

Got hundreds more, it just takes a while uploading them on this slow internet connection I have...

Love the red '78' mk4 tina

That maestro earns extra shite points due to having one black and one silver (Mayfair/vdp?) door handle. Those cortinas are great, both different wheels than you usually see them

With. The white mk 4 almost looks like its on minilite alloys. I can see myself buying a 'Tina before long.

You know, I never noticed that until you mentioned it! I'd love a Cortina myself.  All these pictures were taken within the last six months.

Surprisingly crusty MG 1300

 

This Mk1 VW Jetta is one of just two of this model left licenced.  Nicely well used too

 

One of my shitest spots so far, I think.  It's a 1980s Skoda 130 Estelle.  Currently abandoned, by the looks of it.

Those Metro/Maestro/Montego door handles are notoriously fragile, so back in the day you'd see mis-matched handles on them fairly often. After a hard frost, the handles would disappear off breakers in scrap yards sharpish.

The 2555 I use for several usernames- just find it easier to remember!

Practically mint Audi 80

 

This Granada diesel is the only one of its model on the roads anywhere in the UK.  Very sad to see it beaten up like this.  I had a big shock when I found it was the last 'L diesel' left!

 

Old Ford Escort estate

 

A very sorry looking old Triumph Herald.  Been off the roads since '08, but can't have been touched in that time! I thought it had been abandoned for longer myself...

 

This is a Mk1 Astra GTE, and seriously needs a good polish!

The badges seem to say RCH (someone's initials?)

This excellent condition Metro must have very low milage.  I only ever see it where the owner lives, and at the local Co-Op about 500 metres away.

Rather nice little 1966 Hillman Super Minx estate looking like a proper workhorse, aged 47 years.

 

Lovely little SEAT Ibiza sitting amongst a motley collection of vehicles!

The C reg Renault van - about 15 years ago my ex's parents had one of them and it was so rotten it was practically falling off its axles back then. Amazing to see one still going! They used to keep it parked up in Brixton where it would regularly get graffiti all over it. Combination of knackered suspension and being stacked floor to ceiling with shite meant it looked like it was about to drop on the floor at any moment.
