I've been taking photos of bangers for a while now, and I upload most of them to Flickr (name, Charlie Cars).

Here are a selection of my favourites...

Rather green Ford Capri

Lovely unused Cortina.  Heard it was dug out a year ago, and run for a short time before sitting unloved again.  Tax disc reads 1991!

Thanks, yes it is!

That maestro earns extra shite points due to having one black and one silver (Mayfair/vdp?) door handle. Those cortinas are great, both different wheels than you usually see them

With. The white mk 4 almost looks like its on minilite alloys. I can see myself buying a 'Tina before long.

Thanks for posting them up! How recently did you take the pics?

Thanks for posting keep them coming.

That red Mk4 is ace.Is that Capri a Mk3 with a Mk2 grill?

Thanks! Can't say for certain, but it does look like it.

Great spots. That white corti is nice indeed

It was a beauty.  Thank you

You know, I never noticed that until you mentioned it! I'd love a Cortina myself.  All these pictures were taken within the last six months.

Love the red '78' mk4 tina  8)

Me too, one of my favourite finds so far :)

One of my shitest spots so far, I think.  It's a 1980s Skoda 130 Estelle.  Currently abandoned, by the looks of it.

Nice spots Charlie!

I think Bucketeer posted a pic of that bent van from a Greek island or somewhere!

Those Metro/Maestro/Montego door handles are notoriously fragile, so back in the day you'd see mis-matched handles on them fairly often. After a hard frost, the handles would disappear off breakers in scrap yards sharpish.

Charlie, what's the '2555' in your name?

Do you have any link with Thailand? (Weird question if not - soz!)

Thanks! I spotted that van on the Greek mainland a few weeks ago.

The 2555 I use for several usernames- just find it easier to remember!

I don't have any link with Thailand! I used to have a friend at school from Thailand, but apart from that nothing. I'm intrigued as to why you ask!

2555 b.e. (Buddhist Era) was the year 2012 in Thailand. I thought last year might have been particularly auspicious for you somehow. Never mind... as you were!

Oh, if you're struggling with slow uploads, use a bulk uploader and set it going when you go to bed.

Keep the spots coming!

This Granada diesel is the only one of its model on the roads anywhere in the UK.  Very sad to see it beaten up like this.  I had a big shock when I found it was the last 'L diesel' left!

A very sorry looking old Triumph Herald.  Been off the roads since '08, but can't have been touched in that time! I thought it had been abandoned for longer myself...

This is a Mk1 Astra GTE, and seriously needs a good polish!

Been off the roads since early 2007.

Thanks.  It certainly is.

The badges seem to say RCH (someone's initials?)

Ruins the car IMO, as well as the too big alloys, but hey, it's better than being on the scrapheap!

This excellent condition Metro must have very low milage.  I only ever see it where the owner lives, and at the local Co-Op about 500 metres away.

The C reg Renault van - about 15 years ago my ex's parents had one of them and it was so rotten it was practically falling off its axles back then. Amazing to see one still going! They used to keep it parked up in Brixton where it would regularly get graffiti all over it. Combination of knackered suspension and being stacked floor to ceiling with shite meant it looked like it was about to drop on the floor at any moment.
