I know this does't help, but I just have to express MY UTTER HATRED for trikes. None of the benifits of a bike, and none of a car, and I used to have to MOT them, which was an utter utter pain in the arse. Sorry Dave, I know a lot of folk love them and thats up to them, but NOT ME. I need a drink. GRRRRR.

I reckon this is one of the better looking trikes out there, not just of its type.  It seems to have been well thought out on the whole with some neat little touches.  I hope it makes a decent return and wish your son the best of luck with the sale.

Looks to be a nice example, but similar feelings here. You still get wet and cold but can't filter through traffic jams!

Ok in principle, but probably a right nuisance to ride in the real world, especially if used to bikes. Nipping through narrow gaps? Err, no. Fun on twisty roads? Possibly not. Plus to own/ride a trike it seems that you need to dress accordingly, as in full set of whiskers, bandana, tatty leather jacket with lots of pin badges. Grey ponytail and squeaky boots, tattoos on neck and arms. No stereotyping obviously. :-)

I'm oot.

Although it does look extremely well made, and one benefit is that you don't have to wear a crash helmet. Lovely in hot sunny weather!

Good luck!

I remember a guy locally who knocked up a really simple trike as a prototype. He became a bit of a local hero, blasting up and down the high street with some underage girls hanging on the back for dear life.

This lasted about 2 years then he spent thousands on a mark 2 with s beetle back end and about 2ft longer wheelbase.

A year in the making, then on its maiden voyage, it wouldn't go round the roundabout at the end of the village, not enough lock, scraping the ground etc. Before vic checks obviously.

It was never seen again, probably still under a tarp in a hedge somewhere.

Sorry, thats totally irrelevant. GLWTS :-)

"cough" Yes, my post was totally irrelevant as well! Funny how we come up with opinions rather than actually buying stuff!

Sorry Dave!

Only put it on here "cos i could"

Unlikely anyone on here would show an interest.

But then ya never can tell.

Trikes aren't really my thing either but your son looks to have done a brilliant job with that one.

Looks better than most of the checkerplate-laden shit you see pootling about.

I'd love a trike as I am no longer allowed to venture out on 2 wheels but I am again financially deficient to the tune of £3995. Bloody nice trike and I hope it sells easily for him. Deserves to.

You could get a Beetle and a bike for that money, why would you want half of each instead?

Posted

I do like trikes.

But ony the ones with two wheels at the front and one at the back.
