From the family archive.

My dad must have thought this photo was worth walking 600 yards up a hill, to take one snap with a point and click Green Shields Stamps camera.

But can you guess what it is?

Winner gets a Halfords gift card with about £6.67 on it.

Though it has been used to de-ice a few windscreens. No Idea if the funds are still retrieveable.

Can you remember where this picture was taken?

The best I could do would be either " Lake District " or " Catcleugh Reservoir "

I was very young at the time, and was not present for the photo, but thats where he usually buried the bodies relaxed with is camera.

Loch Ness?  I have to admit, somewhere in The Lakes was my first guess.  Oh and the van is a wedgie Transit.  Or a mk1 Renault Trafic.

MK1 Traffic it was!!!

He ended up owning that too. As the lad down the street left it standing for 6 months, so an offer of £100 was made.

Mr. Ramrod, you are a hands down winner.

There are prizes???

I had a mk1 Trafic as a rental back in about 1981, I thought it was lovely.  Well I would, it was brand new, and my car at the time was a very decrepit Triumph Toledo.  I'm just cursed with a memory for all the trivia that even slightly interests me.

More to the point, is that YOU?

No, its my mate Fonz.

I think the pic was taken as I'd just shaved his head. As I convinced him it would make hime look rock and be irestistable* to the ladies.

The yellow peril is obv a mk 1 Cav.

It had a Manta Berlinetta engine, box and back axle. Fatha made one great car out of two. By himself. For me.

But it never got off the drive. I was an arse and very unapreciative when I was younger.

Didnt get round to passing my test till I was 32.

I used a discount card to scrape ice off the screen  -  it was bloody rubbish, only got 10% off

DW is a close second.

Hold on. Ramrod's post definitely didn't say 'owt about Renners when I posted! *Throws toys out of pram, has a hissy fit, insults all banger racers, draws cocks etc.

Oi Baz, round three please - got both those two but too slow on the keys.

Have to hold my hands up, DW is correct.  I added the Trafic while he was typing, but if he will insist on doing it in a locked room hundreds of miles away, I can't be expected to know!  What am I, Colin Fugging Fry or something?
