I think so, otherwise the bench in the corner wins every week.

Or my hat.

^ Yes, that Rectum was a black hole in more ways than one.

It was a left over from Tuesday with number 267 in the car park, then went through under number 79 as late stickerage.

Saturday numbers are 10 to 199

Tuesday numbers are 201 to 399

Numbering 500+ is entry on the day.

There was number 231 a Merc A class sitting next to the bogs, that had been bought on Tuesday and not yet dragged out the carpark.

How reachable is the auction house via public transport? If I'm coming to the next AS outing I'd be bringing trade plates and intent!!

Depends where you're coming from. Cannock bus station is a couple of miles, maybe less. There is a train from Birmingham but station is a bit further away.

OR

Get to central location and ring up MMTS for a lift to your destination of dreams.

Yeah, I'm sure there'll be no bother getting there from a local public transport destination type venue. Autoshite Cabs (Midlands Massive branch) will be there on time*.

On a Saturday, if you can get to the middle of Birmingham then I can pick you up with ease.

On a Tuesday night, not so much, though Chaseracer may be about if you get to Cannock itself.

Where is your start point?

Cheltenham Spa station is my starting point!

It might be a few weeks before I can brave it after my recent auction success* with Trigger's Panda

Easy pick up for me from New St or University stations then.

Been and picked up the Clio this afternoon, and I'd say a good 65-70% of the cars that "sold" Sat are still there

A couple have been parked outside the gates

Some have already been put back into the Viewing car park

Be interesting to go down tomorrow night and see what they go through for the next time.....

Clio drove like a champ !  V slight knock from the (advisory) balljoint on the fantastically smooth A5013...

Everything works on it,even the steering wheel controls for the stereo

And it came with half a tank of fuel !

Engine is a bit tappy at the top end but seeing as it probably hasn't had an oil change since it's last Dealer service in late 2014,an oil flush and change won't do it any harm

Very pleased with it

Anyone going tomorrow?

Nope! Got to possibly pick up Ma's car, then go to evening course.

working then paying off motorcycle

Why? Do you actually borrow money from Motorcycles?

Are motorcycles the new loan sharks?

FOA DA MIDLANDS MASSIV:

Is anyone near that Wolverhampton? I've seen a bit of exhaust on the ebay I'd like to buy but it's in this wonderful sounding place and collection only.

Would there be any possibility of MIDLANDS MASSIV ASSEMBLE and someone could collect it for me, perhaps passing it on to the Junkman to bring northwards?

There would be zero rush for this process to occur and I'd happily sponsor a dethburger or other reward.

Thanks very much.

Sadly I'm working till Saturday then off on forin jollies with SWMBO for a week. Lord Sterling of Bremen might be able to get on over if you PM him as I think he attends a course in that there city (oh yes it is) from time to time.

Any plans for an AS trip to Cannock any time soon?

Was at Newport tonight (getting rid of a landmark!) and it was pretty shit. Only autoshite worth speaking about was a Volvo V70 that didn't make reserve at £225 and a Hyundai Accent that did the same at £175.

Overpriced over-reserved shit mainly. Nearly bought a 2006 Chevrolet Kalos which ended up selling for £375 but that's £500+ with fees!

Don't bother today - it's pissing down here in WS12!

There are always bargains!  You just get wet - the only covered bits are the bogs and the shed the cars go through in front of OGA and his hammered cock cocked hammer.

And the OKSHUN GAIM sheets go soggy...

Posted

Does that mean more bargains as less punters or less stock as less sellers?

80% of cars are pre-entered, those with 5xx numbers are entry on the day.

When it rains, the only difference is everyone crams into the shed - and they're not the most spatially-aware people at the best of times.

Also, all the really badly sprayed wings and arches will be disguised by the rain. I'm watching the Wheeler Dealer Mk2 Jag episode right now, and Mike Brewer has just told me never to buy a car in the rain.
