Is Chaseracer actually still alive?

Dead Mac + utterly mental week workwise. I've missed you guys too :-)

I am currently in negotiations with my other half about a trip up to Cannock next Saturday. There was a fair chance until I mentioned taking the 204, but I can work on that.

What would scare my other half is me taking £600 in used tenners.

I fear I'm out unless the Honda sells by then. I appear to have run out of money again. Which at least means I'm safe from any bidding hand errors.

Bonus entertainment points went to the Kia Sorento that had a diesel runaway and died in the carpark after having reached £1500 on the block.

What?

Sorry guys, we had stuff to do - gutted I missed the runaway Kia though.

Was the £280 Megane Estate the one that I saw on Facebook with a front wing made by a blind man from cookie dough using only his elbows?

I must apologise for my flying visit, along with Mrs 18s as we had to get off sharpish to view a motor she wants to "play with"

So we turned up late, bought a Clio, then watched agog as an 04 Volvo V50 T5 auto went through for 750ish...........ah well

Repect to the black Fiesta that had a rear arch rebuit out of papier mache, ans still looked wet....

Somebody actually made a buy?  Respect!  It's 30 years since I've done that (FE Victor, £70).

Mileage is quite respectable

Mot history shows advisories for ball joint and steering rack joint and has 6mths to run

No leaks apparent from the sunroof

All dashboard lights come on and go out as they should

And cheaper to insure than her current 97 plate 106!

There was a bit of competition in the bidding, which I take to mean it was an attractive target for a number of the "dealers" in there

With the hammer price of £420, what was the final bill?

Posted

That game rule where you can instantly win by buying a car, does that only apply if you are a sheet holding participant?

I'm asking if my win is still valid. I don't want any inaccuracies on my CV.

Posted

I think so, otherwise the bench in the corner wins every week.

Indemnity insurance at £30 for a car up to £500 takes it to £450 all done and dusted.

Not bad for a mornings work

We had attended Telford auctions on Friday eve, where a fleet of 06/07 Focuses (focii? ) where going through for the £6-700 mark

Star car was an 03 Suzuki Swift 998cc Gls with 1 lady owner from new,11 dealer stamps in the book and 18k warranted miles......

1 parking graze on the front bumper/wing and that was it

It had the back street boys all over it and got to £500 within 2 or 3 bids...

Any number of 03-04 plate Fiats went as well, with barely anything getting over £200.....

Maybe next time

Edit.these were sitting around as well
