If you do decide a manual is not for you, drop me a pm. Always fancied an LPG'd range.

(Yes I am a masochist  :-D )

If I did swap it I would want another RRC, but I've only driven it 30/40 miles so far so we'll have to suck it and see.

I had a 3.9 manual as well as several autos and the manual went down the road far quicker than anything that size should...

Yes, my experience of 3.9 manuals is the same, loads of fun.

DING DONG

Much horn for these. Used to frequently see one in belfast that had open pipes. Sounded like pure sex

Very well played, is that the one with the barn boor petrol flap? Those were the most sublime, no leather means the comfiest place to park your arse other than the biggest rack of the biggest lass of the biggest Asdas checkout. No AC scores a couple of very useful extra cubby holes and less shit in your way when you have to do the heads. On the subject of which, don't listen to the 'experts' who recommend leaving the outer row of head studs loose as that's why they started the cracking blocks slipping liner bollocks.

Now get some cavity wax and pray for a dry day before the salty grits rolled out.

manuel in a rrc is no problem just flob it into 4th at about 20 and crest the wave of torque and listen to the different noises a bent8 can make throughout its rev range

Yes Des it does have the barn door petrol cap, I don't understand why the lpg filler is below the rear bumper and not in there where there is ample room. All 3 of my rrc's have had cloth interiors and I much prefer them to the leather ones I have been in. I'm getting used to the manual box, although I am probably pressing the loud pedal a bit more than I should just because it's soooo much fun. There's a few niggles to sort but nothing major.

I've not had one with the vicous diff lock before and I'm looking forward to trying this out, I've been told this one is working properly but we'll find out next weekend when Skattrd is coming down in the UMM for a days pay and play at my local off road course. (pics of us both stuck in shit will be forthcoming).

Nice one!  I've always liked the RRC - not had a bent eight yet though, both of mine have been diesels.  I like the idea of an LPG'd manual one - should be even* cheaper to run than the Jeep...

Another year, another Rangie. Well, It's actually only been about 6 months since I sold the last one which the profit from funded the Bedford camper project.

This one came up on a local facebook page a few days after I'd decided I needed another Land Rover and being a sucker for a V8 I had to have it. After some negotiations and the chap being let down by a few of the usual facebook cockwombles he said he'd sell it to me and as it's currently mot-less he could even deliver it.

It's a 1991 Vogue efi with lpg in Jewish racing gold (Bronze) with the most shocking wood dash I've ever seen in an rrc but I think it's ace.

piccies...

It needs a couple of patches on the sills, a fannymould gasket as it currently sounds like a tractor, some tyres which I have in my shed and a bloody good service as it's been standing for a couple of years. Everything seems to work as it should, it starts, stops and drives and the lpg works fine too which is a bonus.

I'm hoping to have it on the road within a month but work is crazy busy at the mo' so we shall see.

The plan is to keep this one but the temptation of the profit that can be had out of these may be too much to resist. Only time will tell.

Lovely machine. Is that dash standard issue ?

I very much doubt it but it is a good quality installation.

That's lovely, looks nice inside too. I wouldn't mind one of these at some point.

Don't be silly.

Sorry for being silly, but I is poor and therfore don't get to see inside of posh cars.

Wardrobes, surely?

Well bought. Jealous. Would have loved that manual one, I didn't know such things existed.

The manaul one is now living on Guernsey being turned into the the first hydrogen fuel cell powered RRC, I shit you not!

Shame you got rid of the manual one.

I didn't like the manual one as much as the auto's. It was a hell of a lot quicker and quite a hoot to drive but these are luxo barges not race cars so it just didn't feel right to me. I did initially buy it with the intention of fixing it up and making a profit, which it did very well allowing me to buy the Bedford. The future of this one is undecided yet.

It's funny how these always seem to attract people from miles away, I've sold 3 and the people have come to collect them from Holland, John O'Groats and Guernsey.
