Your favourite car discontinued in the year you were born

In a blatant rip off respectful and loving tribute of WTC's similar thread, I thought we could have one for folk's fave cars which were expunged from the showrooms in the year they were born.

The main reason for this, is it gives me the opportunity to post a picture of an Austin Allegro 3.

This might be a more sensible bet though.

Some good threads popping up lately.  1984 has only one for me:

Not for the rather dire thing itself but for what it represented; not just the end of the Ital, but the end of one of Britain's best-known car manufacturers.  What an exit.

I'm flattered! Here's one I'd have from 1970.

I actually prefer these to the overhyped MK1.

The last year for the original Hyundai Stellar.

Mostly because this is the only car I can think of that was discontinued in 1992.

Not all that much for me to choose from, disregarding the BMW E30, Honda CR-X and ALfa SZ as being "too good" brings me to this cacophany of mediocrity: The Vauxhall Belmont.

'Great Minds' eh, Shep?!  Great Photo of the NSU.

Having noticed Drum's inclusion of a Fiat 130 Coupe on the 'introduced' thread, I have foolishly overlooked the Fiat 130 Saloon being discontinued in '77 also.

Also honourable mentions to the Rover P6 & Triumph 2000/2500.

1974 saw the mk1 capri bow out. Only other car I can think of that ended in '74 was the ado16 austin 1100.

I think it's because my dad scrapped so many of them in the late 60's early 70's and we always had a couple in the field to play in but I love the Rover P4, in fact I don't know why I've never had one,as even now they're worth bugger all.post-17414-0-74490800-1382340864_thumb.jpg

Found this on google images, why don't more businesses do this? Maybe that twat that stickers up all those green Minis to 'promote' his estate agency in that there London could get a fleet of Allegros and Maxis instead.

Funnily enough, on the day I was born, one could call at a Rover dealership and buy a brand new P4, P5, or P6, how's that for choice?

Well, actually the day after, since I was born on a Sunday.
