I have to say i love it.

I think it will replace my aero as a daily over winter with a trusty old subaru for the snow, tax for em both will be about the same as re doing the aero for 6 months.

Very nice. I spied a red V6 on t'bay yesterday, advertised with 'noisy tappet'. Nothing would make me run away from one quicker than the prospect of an engine overhaul.

Still, the right V6 manual would be on many people's bucket list. I'm no exception.

I dont think they will get much cheaper, not decent ones, i gave 750 plus auction charges for it, but im glad i did, i had decided it was £500 of my money...... A bit of a gamble but so far so good. Its got a cat back stainless system on it which is up there with the best sounding car i have ever had.

I've had a 3.0 manual one and they're really nice cars if not a bit flakey. They're also surprisingly fast. Quicker than I thought it'd be anyway.

That looks well fit, especially in that unusual colour.

My experience of Alfas is that they're far more reliable than anything German.

Other opinions are available.

The rear suspension setup is something else. Its got camber arms and all kind of shit. I've got the maintenance CD for mine somewhere if you want it I can post it to you.

Lovely offer cort, however, it doesnt have a cd player, and even if it did, i would have no understanding of what to do regarding maintenance, i will drive it hard until it stops or gets replaced, topping up fluids and fuel as and when. It feels tight and solid, sounds great and at the moment no knocks or bangs, sadly i have a pretty rough track of a mile evertime i go anywhere so it tends to pick up on any weak links etc pretty quickly. Time will tell, but. Have decided to defffo press it into daily duties so it will be seen hooning up and down the a90 on a far to regular basis. In less than 5 months the current daily 9-5 has covered 14k, not sure how well the alfa will handle that kind of usage be we shall see.

Its a CD for the PC with all the service and maintenance jobs on it. Its a great engine and they're lovely cars to be in but they get loads of little faults all the time that ended up doing by heed in. I'd have another.

I wonder if these started with lights where the horizontal grilles are but they had cooling issues so had to put grilles in instead?  Seems almost too nice to be on Autoshite really.

THAT is one fabulous looking car, the interior looks like a well comfy and opulent place to be. I remember years ago just after I bought my Rover 827Si I saw on of these go for £1200, I thought to myself that I could have easily bought one instead of the Rover.

These are utterly horrible to look at, but I still like them. Looks a nice buy!

I had one a while back - as well as being horrible to look at, it was horrible to drive and horrible to look after. It had nice seats and a nice engine noise and ............... well, that's all really.

They're mega fun things. I did a few laps round Goodwood in one a few years back now, it was unbelievably quick and the handling was brill.

After a very good experience with a 1998 156 2.0 manual a couple of years ago I looked around for a 166 but never found one I liked the look of. Good luck with your one Kinkersaab.
