The DS (or is it an ID19?) was in Amsterdam, the rest were in Wassenaar, the Village by the Duinrell holiday camp, near The Hague Thanks. I've been looking for a March road trip idea so will add that to the list. Rich pickings! aldo135 1
aldo135 Posted January 16, 2025 Author Posted January 16, 2025 @RobT The Louwman Museum was definitely worth a look. Nearby Lieden was nice too, not so many car spots but nice streets and canals in the stereotypical style you’d expect. We had driven up from the holiday camp following google maps and it was initially a disappointment, office blocks and flats like a British new town. The youngest asked for McDonald’s, so I typed that into google and 5 minutes later we were in tourist heaven! Who knew McDonald’s would save the day 😂 Westbay, Spiny Norman, RobT and 2 others 5
RobT Posted January 16, 2025 Posted January 16, 2025 I can recommend Zeeland if you're over there again. There's some nice towns and villages on the Middelburg peninsula. I didn't spot loads there in November, but this Volvo was a highlight in Veere. Westbay, Dyslexic Viking, Lacquer Peel and 4 others 6 1
Spiny Norman Posted January 17, 2025 Posted January 17, 2025 I remember the Toyota GT-One from Gran Turismo 2. Set all my best lap times with that car. 😛 aldo135 and mk2_craig 2
aldo135 Posted January 20, 2025 Author Posted January 20, 2025 The 7 series was getting MOT’d at the same time as my Volvo, its appearing on a Retroshite roffle soon I think puddlethumper, Angrydicky, Lacquer Peel and 7 others 10

Spiny Norman Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 Was that Wartburg not featured on Bangers & Cash a few years back? ISTR the lad buying and driving it back up to Scotland. aldo135 1

As it happens, I've now (completely coincidentally) met the owner of this fine vehicle. Don't think he's on here, but very much a fellow traveller. aldo135 1
RobT Posted January 28, 2025 Posted January 28, 2025 The 728's reg looked familiar so I searched my photos and yep. Spotted in south London (Peckham I think) in February 2020. Westbay, danthecapriman and aldo135 3

This “bargain cars” has typical 2nd hand stuff but quite often has something interesting for sale too! Spiny Norman 1
aldo135 Posted December 1, 2025 Author Posted December 1, 2025 Took my son to a "Tartan tarmac" breakfast meet in Glasgow. Some impressive machines for him to take photos of, but thankfully some slightly less exotic stuff too ok nice enough now we're talking 😂 Split_Pin, Six-cylinder and Lacquer Peel 2 1
