Model: Ford Sierra Sapphire DOHC Ghia Auto

Year: 1991

Mileage: 94K

Tax: None

MOT: None

Previous Owners: 4

Standard or Modified: Totally standard

Condition: Good, a Solid car with minimal rust.

Purchased: May 2009

Price: £200

Location: Jcn 45 M4 (Mumbles, Swansea)

My Tasman Blue Sierra is up for sale. Hope this has more interest than my previous Sierra that ended up scrapped. I would like £200 for this as it is. Dealer sticker/disc & plates fitted if that kind of thing floats your boat   :lol: . Also comes with a few old MOT certificates and some bills. HFS works great as does the ABS, E/W, C/L and PAS. New starter motor fitted shortly before it came off the road I put 14K on this in a year dragging camera gear all over the UK and it never missed a beat. Living the dream as a paper sales rep

Why don't I put a M.O.T on it and use it/sell it? Simply, I don't want to go through the hassle of doing so. My time with Ford's has come to an end and as this is the last one left in my collection I just want rid of it. Plus its sitting in my garage where my Montego should be. My loss your gain etc etc

Buy it, please. Its no big deal if you don't, but I would prefer this one saved as its far to good to be put over the bridge. Not going to twist your hand though.

Good points;

 - 93K miles

 - Solid rear arches & doors

 - Very clean interior

 - Includes 5th alloy

 - Excellent runner

 - Its a Sierra for £200! Winning.

Bad points ;

 - Someone has caught the o/s/r door in the past (not me). This has been pushed back out so its not as noticable

 - Small 2" plate will need letting in on the bottom of the n/s/r outer sill

 - Bonnet has a funny effect on the lacquer. Its not peeling, but looks like small cracks up close. You cant see it when a few feet away, but it is noticeable when up close. A mopping session may sort this

 - Needs a battery (but can be heard running)

Its not as bad as I am making it sound. Take a look for yourself -

I like the jacket hanging in the back, did you take it specially for the photo? :D

I use to drive around with it hanging in the window. SRS

I know, but I need to get this sold as I have no interest in it/Fords anymore. Plus the money is going to a replacement gearbox for the Montego. Everyone reading the thread knows that its underpriced  (even without any test)  but I would prefer it sold to someone who will appreciate it and not send it round the oval or reshell a pranged Cosworth. But once I have the money its theirs to do whatever..................

Pillock, you have mail

P.S - Don't know why the pictures are playing up. They have been rotated. Will look into it.

I liked the video. It was like one of those old computer games where you're in a room and have to look around to find an object. "Find the golden red key to unlock the mystic immobiliser and start the repmobile if you want to escape the enchanted business park of... ah, you get the idea.

SOLD!

FSOC member bought the car. So, even though its not gone to an  AS member its not going to the YO SLAMMED! brigade.

Awesome, glad it's found a good home...........wish it was me though :P

Sweet! I only wish it were me buying this. There are so many nice cars on sale at the moment. Bloody life/money/lack of space situation grumble etc....

Once I've got a few quid behind me and finished uni I'd like to set up an Autoshite tat storage facility, primarily for saving vehicles like this. Rent some BFO barn in Lincolnshire or something, all chip in with the rent and fill it up with smokey Rover 800's and rotten old FSO's.

^^^ YES, this we must do, I'm sick and tired of having to find somewhere to store my cars and missing out on potential great buys. Lack of space is the only problem a lot of seem to have at the moment.
