seen this car a few weeks now and have been waiting on the opportunity to see it uncovered, no such luck tho it seems. was tempted to lift the cover at the back and have a peek but probably not a good idea. next best thing>? put it on autoshite! one of you must know what ii is?

I'd have said Porsche 914 based on the top photo, but for some reason the bottom pic makes the cab look far longer, like a 4 door saloon. Maybe a gust of wind caught it?

Yeah it was a bit gusty, and has definitely filled the tarpaulin in the 2nd pic!

Wheel base is also way too short for a 914, they were 'wheel at each corner' Look at this photo on the link :

As said above, wheels at all wrong for a 914/ 916. I also say Alfa Spider - one of the later rubber number jobs.
