I've got a complete, but completely broken, 1989 Yamaha YZ250WR.

It is free.

It's in bits but I can put it back to a rolling chassis if wanted.

Engine and numbers match, it has the blue seat and stuff a WR should have.

Engine is in bits, in a box, in no order and is FUBAR.

Little end needles let go and got everywhere, scored crankcase and all.

Worth something to someone, probably a few quid off a bike breaker but it's in my way and I want it gone.

A different engine and it's good to go, forks and rear end seem fine, all plastics, apart from one side panel are there but most are either battle scarred or cracked and quite brittle, tank ( yellowed a bit)and seat are not brittle.

Carb all there.

I don't want to throw it away and I don't do eBay so either take it and break it or try and find another engine and ride it.

Err, no postage.

How soon do you need it gone?

Fancy it as a winter project but if have to sort a man in a van to pick up

It's been sat for ages, not immediately but soon will be fine.

Be nice if you did restore it, I intended to break it myself but couldn't do it.

My mate rocked up earlier on his C90, so we just went for a 30 odd mile blast with a café stop...

I'd say that Zook is also shite because of the instruments - a speedo and a warning lamp - total.

Way too many!

I rode my bonnie for years with just two warning lights.

I'd say that Zook is also shite because of "Funky Brown"

FTFY. (I'm still baffled by how any type of brown was "Funky" in 1990.)

The bloke next to the white Zook looks like he's just trapped his finger in the back wheel.

The throttle cable has finally turned up for my GSX14, that'll be getting fitted tomorrow.

Fowlers also supply at lot of dealers with parts and hold a decent amount of stock themselves rather than coming from the manufacturer to them then to you.

That long?

Top tip, use www.fowlersparts.co.uk they are fab :)

Robsinsons are normally pretty good.

However, I set up a new account to order with as every time I update the delivery address to the correct one on my old account it doesn't save it. So they spotted matching accounts & merged them, making sure to keep the wrong delivery address so the first cable went to a house I've not lived in for four years.

No, not even that. It's a fiddy. But look at that giant, genuine Honda basket and the silly handlebars... how could I not?

Minor details like the seized engine, optional* V5 and snapped cylinder head bolt I can worry about later...

But just look at it!

Ummm, I'd rather ride the Honda of many* colours and much smoke I think.

Good Luck.

I also like how the Rickman top box has been fitted sideways GR9 4 FILTERNG.

I won't be wearing that yellow pisspot though.

if you want a basket on the front its yamaha passola all the way baby

Soichiro would be turning in his grave. It's a Honda or it's NOWT.

Hey - I'll tell you what - that Hairdrier SH50 whilst not rapid, filters bloody well due to its diminutive size - what usually takes an hour to drive home took 20 minutes thanks to its filtering ability - feels like its "restricted" at its top end, not that Im right arsed about that, but I remember the SGX50 I had that always felt that it ran out of puff rather than being throttled by something.

In other news Mrs Womble not entirely happy about the sudden abundance of bikes here so the Moby is up for grabs at what I paid if anyone is interested ( its now in PR5 land Preston).
