Old shite car adverts

Lovely nostalgia-fest. I particularly like the way the occupants of the Hillman are Lilliputians.

Big fat 'Like'!

Hmm, Opus, Lotus or Alfa...

I've got some ad scans here.

Just spotted the write up on the Reliant Regal advert.

"Who take's your children to school?, Who carries home that heavy shopping?, Your wife, no doubt - BUT NOT IN YOUR CAR."

I'm sure older adverts were more persuasive than modern ones. Almost all of those have got me sold.

I must say, I've "invested" in one or two Austins in my time, but I think stocks and shares are a safer bet.

I really need to "add some distinction" to my fleet with some of those Good Year tyres! Fantastic!

Wonderful stuff, many thanks for taking the time to add these.....Can you imagine Ford boasting of having Consul Capri parts in stock in a 2014 Mondeo ad?   Or totty in filling stations for that matter!    And I have discovered a yearning for a Chevette Lux that I never knew existed until now.....

Loving that Prelude in the Honda ad.   My memory may be faulty but didn't they have a rear wiper even though they were a saloon?   Unconventional but there are times a rear wiper could be handy on a saloon.

First post, the Morris 1800. Not sure about stowaways, but maybe a kidnapped child?
