R9UKE Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Came out this morning to this. The Mégane Cabriolet was done too, though not as blindingly obvious as that humdinger, and the bodywork on it is dog rough anyway. Seriously, what the f*ck is wrong with these people? What do they get outta this? Poor woman down the road who took delivery of her shiny Citroen DS4 two weeks ago was done too, among others. Tales of similar incidents to remind me that I'm not the only one are most welcome...
Albert Ross Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I say sleep in it tonight. Any scrote that returns to view their handiwork deserves a fucking good shoeing. Wear steelies.

Timewaster Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Happened to me (well, to my car) outside my house between Xmas and new year 2007. In a private shared parking area where you had to go through an arch to get to. My Sierra was done down both sides, bonnet and boot, my neighbours 3 month old VW Fox was done down both sides. The neighbours shite old C class merc and my beaten to shit Astra estate were untouched.Wasn't so much a keying end to end like yours, more a scribble with a rock. It was probably pesky kids. Although Ive had the car painted and moved house, It still grates a bit to think about it and I never ever felt quite the same about the Sierra since.
ashmicro Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Did you report it? The peelers in Belfast are hot on this sort of thing, especially after 60-odd cars were done in the east of the city about a year ago.
warren t claim Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Do you not live in an area of Belfast that's "protected"?
DodgyBastard Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I felt shit when someone wrote stuff on my car windows when it was covered in frost last winter, I can only imagine how angry you must be right now. I'd be raging if anyone vandalised my cars!
ashmicro Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Do you not live in an area of Belfast that's "protected"? From the look of the houses (too nice), it's not that kind of area.
R9UKE Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1TSsS-mB6c I knew posting here would make me feel better Yeh, the feeling after catching sight of that on your car isn't something I'd want anyone to experience. Yes, the police were up this morning, door to door was done etc, nothing more they can do really except hope some fucker tries it again while they're watching. Fortunately I don't live in the part of Belfast where riots, stab vests and petrol bomb making classes are the norm, the car woulda just been torched.
warren t claim Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 The sad fact is that amount of damage would write a Migraine off in the eyes of the insurance company.
R9UKE Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 Exactly. I think the best route will be a new door and just getting the rear panel resprayed. I'm pretty "in" with a local scrappy with a steady trickle of Migraines so the door shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Spiny Norman Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Cunts. Sadly an all too common occurrence for any car that lives outside these days, I gave up caring years ago.Round here it's not even malicious vandalism but sprogs with footballs/bikes/shopping trolleys filched from the local LIDL used as karties and raced down the hill.....The end result is the same, and a scratch is a scratch no matter what caused it.
Guest Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 If it's any consolation my 460 was done down one side a few months ago and I can't afford to have it touched in. Really sorry to see this sort of thing happening - but rest assured the 5-0 would be down on you like a ton of bricks if you caught the little cunts in the act and battered them. They all seem to be into ragging knackered pit bikes up and down the public roads. If it were up to me every time the police caught someone doing this, something beloved of theirs would be set on by the fuzz with sledge hammers in front of their friends and neighbours. Then they'd understand what it felt like. Or, if these little cumburps have no compassion and only understand violence and \ or having sex with Staffordshire Bull Terriers, kick the living shit out of them and break a finger or eight.
warren t claim Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 kick the living shit out of them and break a finger or eleven. EFA.
Partridge Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 A bloke who lives opposite us had his Jag XJ8 used as a trampoline one night. No one ever caught the wankstaines behind the damage. I’m not a fan of violence but I think they deserve to have their dick and balls cut off with a rusty stanley knife, myself.
vulgalour Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Nearest I have to this is when some students decided the Polo made a good bench. Chipped the paint on the freshly done wing and bent the bonnet on one side. Who in their right mind sits on someone else's car anyway?

Rope him to the back of the car and drag him through town. flat4alfa 1
TimothyClaypole Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Now that quote would have been meet with blanks faces by every single person I work with and why this place is the best. (Watched it the other week on blu ray).
Ian Nexus Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 That kind of willful damage doesn't happen here at all, people seem to respect over peoples property, and I guess that universal gun ownership goes somewhere towards a deterrent
Junkman Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 To shoot somebody stiff for scratching a car I find slightly over the top.A bit of the good old wheel brace therapy should do.
Keymaster Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 my old man had his car done a few years back.... intelligently, the assailant chose to engrave their name into the bonnet even more intelligently, they lived in the house opposite!! you've got to wonder what, if anything, is going on in some peoples heads
fotorabia Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 My Merc was done before i bought it..looks like a screwdriver..then expertly painted over by the old Spanish lady that did that religious painting...badly....!..

fordperv Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Some little waste of semen did the same thing to my capri but only on the quarter panel, I was baying for blood. I caught wind of who it was and paid them a little visit at their home unexpected, I felt much better after.
RedSparrow Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 May sound weird but I think you should wait a couple of months before repairing it. Would be a bugger if it happened again if the little shit thinks it's funny to target the same car again because its just been fixed. As occurred about 6 times with my old Fiesta's door mirror. KILL KILL KILL...
oldford Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Had the Sierra done within 2 weeks of getting it: It would have been alot better if they'd just put the window through.
Cavcraft Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Pathetic twat/s, you just have to hope that one day they'll get a car and someone returns the favour.I'd like to say waiting up all night to try and catch them out is a great idea, but sadly it's not as you'll just drive yourself radio in the process and probably not see them again. I hope you do find them though, revenge is one of those fantastic things in life where the more OTT you go the better you feel. Had a few cars scratched/keyed over the years, and one dickhead used to throw his black bin bags on the back of my works pick-up many years back.I did actually spot him doing it one night so emptied myriad bin bags from my bedsits into his small-ish front garden to the extent you couldn't see any grass underneath. he never did bother me again after that.
Waderider Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 May sound weird but I think you should wait a couple of months before repairing it. Would be a bugger if it happened again if the little shit thinks it's funny to target the same car again because its just been fixed. As occurred about 6 times with my old Fiesta's door mirror. KILL KILL KILL... My Volvo has been done three times in the last year. I'm moving out of postcode area G74 ASAP and back up the Highlands. First two times where minor and cut out pretty well, and the third time it looks like they've run a 12 furrow plough up the side of the car. I might attempt to tidy it up in spring, as I am making the assumption it is getting repeatedly targeted because I repeatedly fix it. I don't like humans. Things like this (and past jobs like working in a dole office and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority) means I assume newly met individuals are a force for bad in the world, until they display otherwise.
ashmicro Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Some of you may remember a couple of years back a number of cars (and houses) in my street were spray painted, including my garage door and my S Type. Police called, photos taken, but there wasn't much they could do as no-one saw the perpetrators. Well, as it turned out, about a year after the incident, one of said scrotes was overheard saying to his mate "Do you remember when we did all those cars with the glitter paint?". As it happened, one of the cars they "done" belonged to a man with certain connections, who was visiting his mate in our street. Three beatings meted out. Given that you're in Belfast, that remains a possibility in your case, and may not be as remote as you think.
