messerschmitt owner to the beige courtesy 'phone, please...:lol::lol:

I'm in perth at a postcard and stamp show then at one tomorrow in Cheshire. Bought a fantastic Austin 1800 one yesterday. I'll scan some shite and some not shite ones during the week.

This is one I actually received last year from a mate, which features a Puggy 205 behind the statue and a Fiat 127* poking out the side. :D

not quite shite postcards - these ones are actually quite valuable but they're all I bought last weekend on the old car front - bought a lot more ship ones (that's ship - not shit!).

Some prime products of the British Motor Industry can be picked out here, but even Jimmy Saville wouldn't have treated those two unfortunate bare-legged kids like that :(

Metro Postcard by geoffp5, on Flickr

Strangely, Mrs A's red Metro ended up just like that at the side of a rather more crowded M6. Even more strangely, I have never owned either a brown suit or a cardboard suitcase grained to look like leather

I think it's a late 60's shot of Lowerstoft.

 I always did like the way your mind works, JHT.

This, which must be the winning entry in the Reader's Digest's 1964 "spot the pud" contest-

-makes me wonder whether there's a camel somewhere that limps a little....

While this:

Surely deserves a clever caption, but I'm thick as fuck so can't help there.

Note to self: Look out the old postcards that Dad used to send home whenever he was in some distant part of the planet with his work, back in the '60s, '70s and '80s. There are some brilliant cards at the folks' place, maybe I'll take a drive up there and borrow some.

ow you see I never did that, I used to fuck off all over Europe and send postcards home of places like "Preston Bus Station" or "St Annes Swimming Baths" because I thought I was being funny sending a picture of the worlds largest urinal home from somewhere outlandish like Vienna.
