I am digging up this thread, even though it is as mouldy and shagged out as the carpets in my cars, to say this, wot I said on another thread earlier today, because it is true.

 

I have been spending waaaaaaaay too much time on PH lately, arguing with utter mongbats about some load of old nonsense.   I despair of most of the people who frequent the place, many of whom combine ignorance and hateyness in amazing measures, but I am drawn there as if by a crack habit.  I then come here and relish the wit, cheerfulness, fair mindedness, and joy of life expressed by shiters.  Thanks, dudes, I think I love you.

I do go on pistonheads but I prefer the general banter on here and with Autoshite it seems everyone on here is on the same level and in the same boat (skint lol) and it's a far more friendly crowd and helpful place to be..

 

 

I find on pistonheads you can't put any reply to any thread without someone moaning or trolling which never seems to happen on the page of Beige.

both thumbs up to that!   It does not usually take too long for somebody to irritate me on a forum.   Quite  easy-going me but people do tend to act arsely on t'internet and I suspect it is for similar reasons to road  rage - insulation, isolation, too small a dick,dunno.   Whatever,  this is a very happy place and I am happy here.   Perhaps it really has to do with the inverse ration between money and pleasant-ness....

This place is like dead good and that.

I think the best part is that there is no real model preference overall, just nice people with a tat obsession.

 

I used to inhabit mostly RR for my chod fix, but heard whispers of 'the beige' spoken of like some sort of militant wing.

I made the gravest of errors on Pistonheads, by posting a vague "whatsitworth?" thread in the section pertinent to my car at the time. (I honestly didn't have a clue, as there wasn't anything similar for sale at the time - And as a long time member, I get free ads on PH anyway).

 

Cue my post being deleted within the hour, and a snotty PM from a mod, worded in such a way that it stil raises my heckles now. Absolute spunk trumpet.

I have been banned from Badger & Blade for daring to utter approval for the ikon brand, banned from ponsygnomy or whatever it was for daring to utter that the last but one iKon was a bit shit, and possibly just about tolerated by TSR by the fact that I spend insane amounts of money on custom made kit.

I'm on my second PH identity. I wasted 2002 to 2007 at work posting over 10000 pointless posts, and even got promoted.

 

Then I got a new job and didn't go on it, then I went contracting and Created a new Identity and posted 3700 posts in 28 months but only in the evening.
