The caliper brackets were catching slightly on the new discs..... Minor Angry action (0.25 mm) off the edges of bracket had us running sweet.

I replaced the rear box u-clamp, wound it up seriously hard = box rock solid + a heavy slather of GunGum in the sliding joint & a finger load smeared about the area where the crushing nicks are... No Blowing 👍

Comprising.... Ally extrusion L . 12mm Bolt c/w sliding stop (to restrain rubber eye loop sliding r/l.

Something like this is required for the MOT (not bendy) to pass 'exhaust insecure/loose'.

Final bit of the jigsaw [... I HOPE 😵‍💫]

Ran the car up the ramps, slotted under and looked at the 'brrbrrtbrrbrrbrrbrr.....' two exhaust horns fretting 🫤

X marks the spot. 🤬

I have nipped in some old vac hose + zip tied.

A quick trip round the block and slotting into reverse = silence 👍🎉

Hopefully it'll stay that way 😉

Took a short trip along the road [in the dark!], to the garages for people in the tower blocks.....

The garages are flat, level and a few have white painted up n over doors.....

I parked up and did a quick 'tickle n trim' of the dipped lamp aim @10ft from the door 👍

6mm hex tip required, through hole in inner wing top.

Sorted 😉

I'm OK for sockets.... but not deep ones. I opted for a quality name 3/8 drive adapter... I usually go with my 3/8 set 👍

Crashed & Burned on MOT.

All being rectified (I will sort a pair of rear dampers myself).. offside rear coil replaced 2018.... Fair enough!

The drivers 'dipped' bulb had been fitted upside down.... not by me! 😮

Given AVAS is caned daily I'm not gonna beef.

Didn't know about fog light 🫤

It's only money 💰😉

Four new tyres fitted as well.

Took advantage of the mild, dry weather today...

Oil + filter, Air filter & 4 Plugs @97,097m.

I was surprised to see the through bolts, holding the DI cassette down, are passing through [oversized] threaded inserts... perhaps the part is used in other cars but retained differently 🤔.

The plugs were all sweet running but No.1 had a small puddle of oil round the plughole base... Couldn't see where it was from and none was on the DI plastic tip.

Fired right up and I'm using *named oil filter Bosch P7006.

All sorted for the New Year 🧑‍🎄🌲❄️☃️
