Milford Cubicle Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Nice Subaru! These must have looked pretty smart in their day with pillar-less windows and no quarter lights.
mk2_craig Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Humber Sceptre that's been in the same spot since at least 1999, again in Lochinver: Presumably no quarter mile oval within a large number of miles.
Richard Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 There are only two in the whole of Scotland. Crimond is the nearer at 194 miles while Cowdenbeath is 229 miles away.
Guest greenvanman Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 The CA is fab, anyone know what conversion that is?

morris_ital_lover Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Not sure but... is that a harrington legionnaire in one of those photos? or is it a lesser model if it is they are worth meg bucks!m0rris
brammy777 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 You mean the Bedford Val right? It could be a Harrington version, but it looks slightly wrong at the front, the best version of these without a doubt is the one with duple viceroy bodywork.
M'coli Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 That Bedfrord's been well butchered inside, to turn it into living quarters - probably for some Swampy-esque type.
morris_ital_lover Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Fruggin' hippies. Yep!!!If it was a legionairre, see if they would take a bit of capitalist dosh for it, if its got no interior, worth making into a replice thn isn't it, might be worth tipping off the legionnaire register about this one though! Plus was this in scotland!?m0rris
M'coli Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 Plus was this in scotland!?m0rrisNo, twas just north of York. Tholthorpe, IIRC.
M'coli Posted May 20, 2010 Author Posted May 20, 2010 The Ilkley Jubilee Historic Rally took place on the 11th April, I took a trip out to see some sporting shite. I have some other (larger) photos that were taken prior to these, these are stills from the video that I might get my arse into gear and sticking on the internets. This is the first of the cars that we'll see again, as they returned from a stage. This wasn't in the rally! http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/m4coli/Autoshite/P1030148.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/m4coli/Autoshite/P1030149.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/m4coli/Autoshite/P1030150.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/m4coli/Autoshite/P1030151.jpg This was lovely, it effortlessly gathered speed.http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/m4coli/Autoshite/P1030152.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/m4coli/Autoshite/P1030153.jpg Final shot today, how nice do stroker triples sound!http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/m4coli/Autoshite/P1030154.jpg
M'coli Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 Now that the study/exam thing is over, I've had some time to sort out some spots, but being on a campsite near Barnad Castle, I've forgotten the decent memory card reader. Some spots are just meant to be - I went to the local supermarket and this was in front of me - I had no camera, so thought of taking phone shots. Then I realised I had no wallet, so nipped home for that and the camera:I really like this! I also went to the Great Yorkshire Show, this was nice: We were out in Leeds one day in July, and I saw these at the side of the road, I had to stop and take pictures:The owner was working on this, it had the Weber carb added to it for extra oomf. He's not on the internet.CPTC, take a guess - it'll be one of 2 cars: Then there's the Austin 1300 estate I see when dog walking sometimes: Next batch should include some from my campervan travels during the summer. mk2_craig 1
Albert Ross Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Are they X1/9 wheels on the Tablet? What's the PCD on them (Fiat are 98mm, I know that) Unless I have it wrong of course......
M'coli Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 They look similar, don't they? I thought these Talbots had the Hillman 41/4" PCD.
Volksy Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Those Talbots are just over the road form my Sisters house. I've posted the Alpine on here before I think.
chaseracer Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Ultra-shite!! That is just amazing... "1972 called - they want their Consul Capri back!"
M'coli Posted April 16, 2011 Author Posted April 16, 2011 More of the dross that I've seen and not had my decent camera to take a decent piccy with so I've used my phone. In no particular chronological order:3 door 340 spotted in Harroate in January last year.Giffer-driven Cav in Morrison's last March.VW Variant in Gairloch, August last year.Senator spotted in Wetherby town square last August.A Donegal scrapyard spot, last May.Inherited shite in Matisse Blue spotted in Morrison's carpark last year. They were trying to get all the food and alcohol for an OMGWTF BBQ and their 2 kids in the car. It had been his mum's util she passed away. My ex-colleague had one the same colour when he was a tree surgeon, it was so capable off-road it was nick-named the all-terrain Fiesta.A garage probably somewhere in Norfolk.Reliant Fox spotted on the way home from work last year - it was on eBay a short while after. This was in Culmstock, Devon, last year, I'd been down to see the Faither-in-law and had taken a trip along the canal with the dog.Handsome daily driver in Morrison's this February. The Cavalier beside an SD1 3500, last Febuary IIRC. The SD1 was covered in algae, and had seen a good deal of radulla* action from various slugs and snails eating the algae from it.*these are the little triangular marks left by the mouthparts of such molluscs.Absolutely fucking stonking Panda 750 on Poundland trims in Morrison's about a month ago.Early-ish Micra in Harrogate at the start of April.Rascal Camper spotted about a month ago. This pulled into the Esso as I was going to fetch tonight's curry. It's a 1600HF, the guy's had it about a month. I think it's the first ever time I've seen a Fulvia on the road since I became aware of them (and have harboured a major WANT for one) 20 years ago.
Barrett.in.the.USA Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Shit the bed, I missed those Baltots the first time around! I guess the CPTC is a Solara. Fulvia is obviously GR12 too
M'coli Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Another rambling update, including some historic spots, i.e., 2009! So let's start with them, these were probably taken in May 2009. 304 cabriolet in Morrison's carpark. Chav-tastic Fester in a services carpark:Same services, nice Looking Merc:What's that behind it? This geezer's living the dream! On a trip to the Borders in October 2009, I spotted this 305 van in Hawick, I think:Then in Galashiels, this had me enraptured. It's the same one that was on eBay last month, on page 753 or there abouts:This was somewhere out near a Reservoir near Dryhope on the A708.Rough looking Sherpa coupé:These 2 Sherpas were in Sedbergh: February 2010, Inverness Halfords:Ancient Samé at Mullardoch dam, looks as if it hasn't moved since the Google streetview shots the previous year! On the way back from Devon, February 2010:More soon.
KruJoe Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 There never was a better time to revive a spottings thread, good work sir.I haven't seen an Allegro Estate in the wild for years, but still have the mega horn for an early one. I'll have a chance at one sooner or later hopefully.I bet that SJ winds itself up something chronic when put in 4WD!
Lord Sterling Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Excellent spotting Mr 'Coli. That AA Escort Van reminds me that I spotted a Bedford Astramax in the RAC yard next to the M6, I saw it a few times until they fitted up some new fencing. I really like the mk2 Cavalier, I would love to buy or at least try one. Got a big soft spot for mk2 Cavaliers and its nice to see you kept your pretty much standard, sadly a lot of them seem to be modified.
Angrydicky Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Excellent spots as usual. That Allegro estate is a right hunny
M'coli Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Cheers chaps. The next load will be sorted when I'm not on a steam-powered laptop, and should include mk1 BX content.
