YugoLada Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Well I thought I should do a H reg Proton thread and I did. I've seen a few H reg protons around but has anyone got any photos of them?
dollywobbler Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Why did you think you should? We don't really need a separate thread for every possible car/reg number possibility, in fairness.
Cheggers Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 OK, you've had your fun...can we just have a single "Have you seen a Proton" thread please?
worldofceri Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 A few years ago a lad I worked with gave me a lift home in his Mum's Proton; I think it was H-reg but I'm not sure, so I may have put this in the wrong thread. I just know it was quite an early one. No picture anyway 'cause I had no phone-cam in those days.

Mr_Bo11ox Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I prefer G-reg protons to H-reg, so i won't be adding anything to this thread. However my favourite reg of proton is J, is there a thread for those anywhere? dugong and Dick Cheeseburger 2

cms206 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 My dad's H-reg 1.3GLS saloon (in white with a gold coachline and GLS on the rear quarter panels) died of terminal grot.

YugoLada Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 I still see a H reg Green Proton Saloon around I've got it on my Flickr Photostream and I think I've got it on the spotted thread topic.
red5 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 This is Proton porn then I guess. Enjoy. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8037

In that case I'll use this thread to tell you about the J plate Aeroback I was following last week. White, giffer spec, exhaust sounded rattley. I see it a lot so I'll eventually get a photo of it if it isn't scrapped first. Its not the only one in town but I always notice it as it reminds me of our BX.
mattblack Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I've also got a picture of a J reg, an M reg and... wait for it... TWO that you CAN'T SEE THE NUMBER PLATES ON!!!!!!!! HOW CRAZY AM I ?!?!?!
Steve79 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Mighty thread resurrection. I'll add my H-Reg Proton Aeroback into the mix HillmanImp, Dick Cheeseburger, eddyramrod and 4 others 7
tooSavvy Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Try Mudah.com for any required trinkets/embell-end-ishments for the 'thinking mans' Mitsubishi TS
worldofceri Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Is it really over four years since the H-reg Proton debacle? Blimey. Alexg 1
Steve79 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Got the aeroback from an area51 member on retrorides who got car from outlaw 11 on here. HH-R Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 ALL J REG PROTON'S MUST BE SAVED Where did this AS meme originate? I make this hilarious joke that just keeps on giving every so often, but just realised that I might have the year wrong and it's actually H reg.
cms206 Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I make this hilarious joke that just keeps on giving every so often, but just realised that I might have the year wrong and it's actually H reg. There was F, G, H and at least J-reg threads.
Parky Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Shame Lotus scrapped their pre production mule, it was rumoured to be on an E plate, did 0-60 in 7 seconds and was powered by a prototype Leyland E series diesel. RIP E701 SWL Lacquer Peel, HH-R, Dick Cheeseburger and 1 other 4
Station Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I had a 1.5MPi and thought it was quite fast. My mates used to laugh at it (and call me Proton knob), but one of my mates said the 1.5 goes like a 'wet wank'. Not sure if this expression was used to describe a quite fast car, or he was just mocking it.
DodgyBastard Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 The Proton estate I had was brilliant, loads of room in the back... proton estate by srblythe, on Flickr Skizzer, Richard, KruJoe and 6 others 9
omegod Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 As if by sheer chance I saw a j reg in my local scrappy today
Mr_Bo11ox Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Wow that estate looks great!!! oldcars and tooSavvy 2
