Compared to the other stuff in the range they seem quite scarce these days, the MR2 was blue and white if I remember correctly.

Got the Matchbox Saab 9000 Turbo Laser in Metalic Blue with yellow and white logos.4

I use to have the MR2 Laser wheels as a kid in Met Blue with a white lower half along with the standard White Matchbox MR2. Really must find myself another Matcbox MR2.

Think they did the Laser Wheels Datsun 280Z as well can't say I've seen a 480 or the Sterling before either.

The MR2 had a sunroof too, if I remember krectly.

I also have a Porsche 928, a Ferrari 308, a Cadillac Allante and a Peugeot Quasar concept car in Laser Wheels trim.

I've got the Datsun 280Z one, found it after taking the original picture. I'll put a picture up later.

I had that Renner 18 and Alpine when I was a nipper. Majorette were always a good source of weapons grade tat, and their packaging was always a sod to get into

Ive got all of those, Majorettes. Always been my favourite 1/64 manufacturer as they made 'real world' French cars. Always wished they had made a 12 though and Guisvals were not generally available, who did a 12, which I finally got at a swapmeet years later.

I think I've got all those Majorettes too,the Mondeo is probably the hardest to find ,even though it's the newest  :?

Here are the only 2 I have left in 1/64 scale. I also have a green BX in the loft in 1/36 scale.

I got the Seat 131 brand new from a shop just up the road from our apartments in Menorca in 1993 and the 12 at a Swapmeet in 1990

There's a mixture of makes,Guisval,Pilen,& Mira.Cool that you've had yours for all those years.

When we went to Torremolinos a few years back, there was a stall selling old diecast at a market.I thought I was going to come away with loads of interesting stuff, but it was run by a couple of Brits & most of it was Matchbox & Corgi.I did get a Guiloy Cortina-shaped Taunus though.

Is that a Majorette Volvo?

Thats a shame about that stall, Id have been diaappointed!

I had a Taunus years ago by Polistil that looked like a MK3 Cortina, I might still have it.

Yes,Majorette Volvo 760.I should have enough of those to fill a transporter now  :-)

These would have been the creme de la menthe of Matchbox cars in about 1989 - Laser Wheels

I have the testarossa and the mercury police car. I liked the mercury as a child - the front end looks like a mk3 'tina GXL.

Does anyone have any Edocar toys models?

Take a stab at some of the manufacturers they didn't use castings or wheels from. I got a couple on a trip to Holland for my birthday in 1988, when we were living in Germany at the time. I certainly had the Granada and a Trabant, as seen below but in matt frog green, which I feel was probably a very accurate shade.

I had that green golf and although it was a 2 door I always thought it looked a very similar casting to the 4 door matchbox one. I always wondered who made it, now I know!!

I do come across Edocars during my tat searches but I usually end up Ebaying them as I don't have room to start another theme...Had that blue Mk2 Granny but its been replaced by the Siku Mk1 estate. If I came across the Transcontinental with a trailer in nice condition it would probably be a keeper.

got the blue Granada ,seen it in white with red cross on bonnet & another that had the colour that changed with heat.

I've got this, containing the Renault 25,Sierra,Peugeot 309,BMW,Porsche,& XJ-S which I put in to replace the Granada which was originally there

A lot of these castings were also sold under the MC Toy & Rainbow Toys names,Rainbow Toys made the Dempsey & Makepeace set containing the Merc van & 500 SLC,& Granada & XR3 Convertible.
