Absolute bargain!

I acquired this Dinky Corvette, and much to my annoyance scratched the screen getting it out of the packaging

I remember a boy on my street having this in the 70's. The rear is much more square than the actual car.

I just noticed that the mirrors are missing from the crane,I might take it back ?

I was looking for something to lift with it,all I could find was a Transit door which @bunglebus kindly sent me a couple of weeks ago.

It was lifted out of the delivery van

Then it was loaded into the pickup,to be taken to the body shop, along with the Transit. The body shop is very slow sometimes,so it might be a while until it gets done

I’d go to £18 and it’s still cheaper than the one I bought earlier in the year ?

There really is some world class Siku showing up here lately - the bargain ADAC beetle, the excellent catalogue scan from @bunglebus and now this. I might have a small Siku stash of 80’s catalogues and models myself ?

Only the second Spot-on to cross my path, this appears to have started out red but two fairly thick coats of Humbrol have long since dried to a surprisingly reasonable gloss.

It’s like an apprentice carved the buck.  He really wanted an Adams Probe.  Stamped on.

(Still better than I could do though)

Went to Tavistock and found an olde worlde toy shop.  The type where everything is low volume, maturing stock, stacked to the ceiling. I felt like a little boy again

Spotted Matchbox singles and Hot Wheels in the same rack !

Ah, drat, I didn't find that place when I was there a fortnight ago. I was hoping to find a shop that I remember from a holiday 20 years ago, from which I bought my 1:18 Triumph Spitfire. I found a place that specialises in jigsaws, though, and I'm wondering if that's the subsequent evolution of the shop I remember.

Any MB Dodge Coronet copcars in there?  1959 shape?

My local Tesco has restocked; all the orange Golfs you can eat, but no sign of the Dodge.

I think that was in the previous case Eddy.

I've been looking for it too,to no avail.

It was certainly rare over here, even then.

I've never seen one either

DAFlicious. I owned one of the green trucks when I was a kid and thought it was time to add to the collection. Tickled that they both have the majority of the original cargo on board!

Edit: I'm not 100% on the cargo on the green truck. My childhood model was secondhand I guess and never came with any load. I've also got a (recently purchased) light metallic green DAF truck with a plastic portacabin on the back, which has a completely different fixing bracket. Hmmm...

I have also acquired a commercial - Matchbox Ford D series in Pepsi livery. I don't remember seeing this outside of catalogues before

I had the Pepsi (D series?) which infuriatingly I’m sure would only take small cars in the back because of that central pillar!

However the hot wheels 205 group B is a new one on me?

This...

...has gone up on the correct shelf today, because I completed the details.  The correct shelf is the Film & TV shelf (actually one of several).  Why?  Who on earth had a pale green Hillman Imp?  I'll tell you...

It was Richard Bradford as McGill, aka Man In A Suitcase.  (Cue that excellent music and let's throw some shapes!)  I have a feeling I've used a green that's a bit too light, his car may have been a bit darker, but it's the green I used on my Volvo's wheels, which means it's what I had in.  And come on, who else do you know who has a model of McGill's Imp?
