Right, some more weekend clearance stuff - apologies for greasing an already-slippery slope!

Pressed for time here, so pics only for now - I'll wax lyrical later, if circumstances permit.

Everything 50p or 3 for a quid!

Board 1: 1970s Superfast (and some later spin-offs):

20200815_120915.thumb.jpg.4ca041beb73fbef3cc5951a229640c22.jpg

20200815_123138.thumb.jpg.5cc90f7f94121ee96c0b9f3e4ff050b1.jpg

1/1 - BMC 1800 Pininfarina; big wheels version, with the dashboard inexplicably missing.

1/2 - Racing Mini, with glazing damage but very straight axles. **SOLD!!!**

1/3 - Dodge Charger III concept, with shonky axles and glazing complete but needing a little fettling to get the canopy to lie flat.

20200815_123159.thumb.jpg.d71f406bdbbad4496c3a48ab6a47feb6.jpg

1/4 - Volks Dragon minus its power plant; glazing intact, just dropped.

1/5 - Ford Group 6 racer, in pretty good shape

1/6 - another Ford Group B, in a different shade of green and wonky axles.

20200815_123220.thumb.jpg.34b3fa724c6055ab45fb4a8fe43ab121.jpg

1/7 - Rolls Royce DHC; missing its windscreen and with the boot glued shut, but bumpers and front grille/lights are intact - wasn't someone after a front end for one of these the other week?

1/8 - Lotus Super Seven, also without glazing for the ultimate flies-in-the-teeth experience

1/9 - Rolamatics Turbo Fury, driver AWOL but the fans at the back still turn ok.

20200815_123239.thumb.jpg.dcae843ff70fea1448c6aa0c95616793.jpg

1/10- Dodge Challenger, in fairly good nick

1/ll -another Challenger in broadly similar condition; you can tell I have a weakness for these...

1/12 - Setra Airport Coach, once in British Airways colours but now it can be for whatever you want..

20200815_123258.thumb.jpg.5b8f02293b09b711878833b82c508489.jpg

1/13 - AEC Merryweather Fire Engine; minus ladders but still not bad overall.

1/14 - Freeman Commuter; some glazing cracks and wonky axles, but far from a wreck.

1/15 - Rolamatics Police Patrol (Range Rover); later version with black base and blue light.

20200815_123317.thumb.jpg.bce2cbca045eaed8956b6b8ee083a02d.jpg

1/16 - Super GT Lotus Europa; made in China with later type wheels.

1/17 - Super GT Monteverdi Hai; made in England with earlier type wheels, good overall condition. **SOLD!!**

1/18 - Dodge Cattle Truck, early 80s twin-pack version in good shape.

More to follow!

20200815_123402.thumb.jpg.3c802e1195f87a986ecf315b2a7d54b5.jpg

2/1 - Citroen 15CV Traction Avant, with barn-find salt patina for extra eBay kudos

2/2 - Pontiac Fiero with Superfast Laser Wheels **SOLD!!!**

2/3- Vauxhall Astra GTE in Sphere Drake rally livery **SOLD!!!**

20200815_123420.thumb.jpg.c3ffc9e52eeff09efaccfb89b72fa08f.jpg

2/4 - Mercedes Benz 190E; may have been stored near salt like the Big Citroen, but may respond well to a new coat of paint and tickle with a chrome pen.

2/5 - Audi Quattro **SOLD!!!**

2/6 - Ford Model A van, Kelloggs promo from the mid-80s

20200815_123446.thumb.jpg.db24c67040ad07a220f20db12d64c7a6.jpg

2/7 - Chevrolet School Bus, in mildly sinister 'Sheriff - Prisoner Transport' livery and plastic body

2/8 - GMC School Bus, in less scary Airport Shuttle guise, also with plastic body **SOLD!!!**

2/9 - Food Truck, 'Fun Sushi', also plastic

20200815_123512.thumb.jpg.abafb97f23499401e56b2927190fc4cd.jpg

2/10 - Desert Thunder V16 truck, painted up as 'Alien Study Lab' (okaaaay) **SOLD!!!**

2/11 - Vantom 4x4, 'Arctic Expedition'

2/12 - Cliff Hanger, 4x4 buggy thing (tiny!)

20200815_123534.thumb.jpg.fc9ab56af887706fd50d35cb89c9b3a3.jpg

2/13 - Sonora Shredder, desert rally type thing based on a Chevrolet stepside pickup?

2/14 - S.W.A.T. Truck, more than just a little sinister (honestly, what kind of play scenarios are kids coming up with these days?)

2/15 - No name on this one, but some sort of military armoured pick-up that looks like something from the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle programme - any ideas what?

20200815_123556.thumb.jpg.0df24dc63e3d0ff64522c19179980ab9.jpg

2/16 - Another somewhat aggressive-looking vehicle that further blurs the boundaries betwixt police and military - all plastic, made for Burger King

2/17 - Pierce Dart Fire Tender; some of the silver plating has worn away, but a spot of Molotow chrome pen should sort it

2/18 - Battle Kings half-tracked APC in quite good overall nick (both rubber tracks and revolving turret soldier present; orange 'canvas' cover absent); an earlier 70s release in not-very-authentic metallic green.

3/10 - Mercedes Benz C111, with opening rear engine cover

I loved Micro Machines.......Fuck knows where they went.

Pretty sure this was part of the marketing ploy; "buy 'em, play with 'em, Hoover 'em up, buy some more"

I vividly remember getting a set on Christmas '89; that mirrored background to the box still feels impossibly exciting. All our relatives were around for Christmas dinner, and I remember playing with a pair of Micro Machines articulated trucks ( a Peterbuilt conventional and an International cabover, both of which had opening doors etc) while watching Crocodile Dundee on our Ferguson TX  22B5 telly.

4/1 - Corgi Mercedes 500SL in metallic green, Made in England (with slightly saggy arse)

4/2 - Corgi Mercedes 500SL in white, Made in China (go on, hours of fun playing 'spot the difference' between the two)

4/3 - Corgi Ford Transit Mk2 Pickup

20200815_123924.thumb.jpg.24904c1dca9d06c7f1a71946042b5c24.jpg

4/4 - Corgi Renault Trafic, missing its rear axle EASY FIX M9, JUST DUNT HAV TIME

4/5 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, with pullback motor - and yes, it's branded Corgi

4/6  - Majorette Ford Cargo Skip Truck, minus load

20200815_123940.thumb.jpg.c3cd60b684d5136fc37ff0fba9a15bf7.jpg

4/8 - Majorette Saviem Crane Truck, without very much in the way of a crane

4/9 - Kinsmart Mini Cooper, with pull-back motor

20200815_124020.thumb.jpg.30017085cceafd0ae796a8bc60286dac.jpg

4/13 - Welly Hino (?) suction tanker, missing rear door

4/14 - No-name (but probably Welly) Mazda RX7 FC, actually quite a decent casting

4/15 - No-name (but probably Welly) S.WA.T. Police APC, ideal for quelling any Toytown riots

4/16 - No-name (likely Welly) Jeep CJ-5, missing a bumper corner but again nicely cast

4/17 - Welly VW New Beetle Cabrio - some damage to screen surround, but with neatly rendered alloys and rubber tyres, may be a worthwhile wheel donor for a few pennies?

Yeah, I had them too and probably around the same time.. I think I'd lost interest in them by about 1990ish,the last ones I recall having were the Tucker and XR4ti with head/taillights, a remote control Mustang on a peculiar 4x4 base and a sort of tune up kit with different wheels, spoilers and shit in a box which opened up like a tool box. I'd totally forgotten about the mirror effect in the box though.

5/1 - No-name Jaguar XJS with comical proportions

5/2 - No-name Chevrolet Caprice Police Car, very likely a pirate of the Majorette version with shockingly bad build quality

5/3 - No-name 'Trans-Am' (eh?) with Kelloggs tampo printing - some sort of promotional toy?

20200815_124147.thumb.jpg.5a92709e709149c9bf2fa3ffebb4fa34.jpg

5/4 - No-name Renault 17, with some kind of key-car mechanism - seemingly lifted from the Matchbox Superfast version

5/5 - Realtoy Audi RS4; chunky but decent **SOLD!!**

20200815_124205.thumb.jpg.7c1d0c62db43cef01ec5482b3c232405.jpg

5/7 - Siku articulated low-loader trailer, some toybox dings but loading ramp intact

5/8 - Corgi Toys Farm Trailer, 60s/70s casting, sadly missing its hitch and rear tipper cover but still with functional hydraulics

20200815_124230.thumb.jpg.51af3a88d8b522a1a2942febf0c01e2a.jpg

5/10 - No-name Ford Transit Mk3 LWB, in breathtakingly inaccurate 'Vancouver City Police Force' tampo (or do you know better??)

5/11 - No-name Ford Econoline custom van, very much in the tradition of those Hong Kong Dinky types discussed a wee while back

5/12 - No-name SUV - not even sure what this is meant to represent; possibly based on a BMW X5. At least it's screwed together for quick and easy dismantling.

20200815_124245.thumb.jpg.371daa82ced727ea30319b099ccae311.jpg

5/13 - Praline Scania tractor unit, plastic in HO scale I believe

5/14 - Bedford S-Type truck, all plastic with maker unclear but seems to be quite old and made in Hong Kong (A-post damage, sadly)

5/15 - Hot Wheels 'Crew Cruiser' Mack R-Series, fairly wacky but substantial and heavy with it

20200815_124306.thumb.jpg.059df1b8e323b00e27a466519d08b826.jpg

5/17 and 18 - Trailer and rear load insert from Matchbox Superkings Mercedes Unimog - to go as one item.

Last lot coming through shortly!

The Merkur must have passed me by, but looking on Google its proportions are disastrous, so not to worry.  I recall Indsiders, too, which had tiny weeny versions of themselves inside, but were a bit bigger than regular releases. And what were the ones that you could see inside called?

Board 6 (finally): bigger scale stuff. Again, 50p to clear (or three for a pound):

20200815_124353.thumb.jpg.46e9d6143db74e3a5d10534f50f03cb7.jpg

6/1 - Matchbox Superkings Dodge Articulated Horse Box, with some squashage to the base (but not FUBAR'd, and all doors in place) **SOLD!!!**

6/2 - Matchbox Superkings Ford A-Series tractor unit; originally would have been found hauling a powerboat **SOLD!!!**

6/3 - Corgi Fantasy Tow Truck; complete with towing hook and in overall decent nick, though some staining to the paper decals

20200815_124412.thumb.jpg.796db00d89c15c2b184a8d7805b885ee.jpg

6/5 - Matchbox Superkings Bedford TM Skip Truck in Hales livery, minus skips

6/6 - Another Superkings TM Skip Truck, but in slightly better cosmetic shape

NB - more previously unnoticed Superkings variants, in the roof castings

20200815_124424.thumb.jpg.06e7a7465be980aa546f9ba92ed6cd30.jpg

20200815_124811.thumb.jpg.79fa96e56eed283ad862139074db4ff5.jpg

6/7 - Corgi Juniors Articulated Transporter trailer, in overall good nick but the plastic drawbar has sheared off - probably glueable, but its days of pounding the motorways are finished. **SOLD!!!**

20200815_124440.thumb.jpg.576083c5ad41a1fba2affe13ee73987d.jpg

6/10 -Corgi Fighter Aircraft; there's no identifying marks on the casting and I know nothing about miltary aircraft, so I'll leave this on to the AS hivemind to identify. Missing one missile, and a few small chips here and there.

20200815_124454.thumb.jpg.9b708b17cd000def2e77aac80102af31.jpg

6/13 - Saico Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed SWB, in large 1/34 scale - missing the back bumper but nicely done otherwise **SOLD!!!**

20200815_124508.thumb.jpg.0cd08c7ed6f52c4e1cd67f6d731cf5b2.jpg

6/14 - No-name Datsun 240Z Fire Chief car; highly stylised tinplate toy, still with functioning friction drive. Gotta be a bit of a rarity?

20200815_124524.thumb.jpg.dccb6197616e9abb02f883effa33691c.jpg

6/16 - Hongwell Mercedes 207D Breakdown Truck, in approx. 1/43 scale; diecast cab with plastic base and rear section, but sadly missing its boom

That's it for now. Yaaay!

Private Eyes.

I had the Merkur with the lights, now long gone though. I do have it in pull-back version though. Absolutely useless as there is insufficient weight in the toy to give the tyres enough traction. Some might say it's overpowered!

Insiders! Another one I'd forgotten about! Can't for the life of me remember what but I had one for sure. I also don't recall what they called the ones you mentioned with a sunroof and an interior when you held it up to the light but I had a couple of those too.

Yes that’s the one. I’m afraid it’s getting broken up to use the body at the back on a rigid lorry.

I’ve still got a box full of micro machines somewhere. Must hunt them out

Look in eBay America, they don't seem to be as expensive there, even accounting for postage.
