That garage looks fantastic, isn’t it a Corgi Batley garage?

It's about the same size as the Matchbox ones, I'm not familiar with the Corgis but they seem bigger with an up and over door?

Next up is a little bit of a rarity, some little tinker didn't appreciate the stripes and gave it a quick once-over in yellow Humbrol

Some more of the tat from my Wednesday win.

First up are a trio of Corgi comic book issues.

DSCF6714.JPG.716a40f2a6663c0ed4fa6e6b294145d5.JPG

I've gained a few of these Supermobiles in both Juniors and Corgi sizes.

DSCF6715.JPG.2d7a55adefeb3a74688f45fac8ed0d46.JPG

Very tidy US Van with good decals on both sides.

Bat Boat and trailer.

There's a bit of wear on the trailer.

DSCF6719.JPG.d6930129be9fc42c74d35efe97a82aad.JPG

There were a few bits of Huskey rubble...

DSCF6720.JPG.7a8c4ab4fa658984bf537ce4f2918eac.JPG

and a well used Jag E-Type V12 from Majorette.

Rough Studebaker.

The MG 1100 looks quite good in red...

but rear bumper has gone.

Best of the bunch is the Cougar Villager.

It has the drop down plastic rear door.

DSCF6733.JPG.a803155ed7e873871d90ef26cbe0419c.JPG

There were two boat trailers, one with a missing wheel and one with a bent axle and a bent post.

DSCF6734.JPG.0dfc480a411f9532171438df2fc9b21a.JPG

A quick bit of levering with a small screw driver and some axle straightening...

and I have one good one.

I was googling that last night, absolutely nothing about the original car from the series to be found

Bloody hell Rich!  Can I come and have a weekend at yours?  I could do with some boot sales of that quality!

It has been quite exceptional today, I could have bought twice the amount I actually did. Going to take me a while sorting them all

Right, so it was my birthday on Tuesday, but thanks to work and home stuff, I've just got the chance to get this out properly and have a look.

IMG_20250315_222331.jpg.5e357ec9a9294c7297708fc5b445ca58.jpg

So, following on from the Corgi branded Screen Stars Professionals twin pack from a few weeks ago, comes the Professionalmania take on a Capri/Granada set.

IMG_20250315_222341.jpg.0f3840d19b199ea04f081e7297edc6fe.jpg

IMG_20250315_222351.jpg.e817de5bbfb8d2ae04f8234295c05e05.jpg

IMG_20250315_223831.jpg.2f538dbeab16b559ecacfb63b3f0d78c.jpg

Bit more sought after this one, as it's a fairly limited edition by today's standards and in this set, both cars are from the same series (4 in this case), unlike the Corgi one.

IMG_20250315_223906.jpg.b404ef21319ef0820fba9e152b324ff2.jpg

IMG_20250315_222431.jpg.3031a30b075fd86cff005d3ef1501d3f.jpg

The box inner also acts as a diorama for display purposes, once the cars come out of the protective bubble,

IMG_20250315_222618.jpg.d2126e9592179b8b73beb385e910e8cf.jpg

They can be fixed to the inner with some Vanguards type fixings.

Starting with George Cowley's Granada 2.8i Ghia,

i145342.jpg.be06f772a2f0bc8dabfb1508539ad83a.jpg

IMG_20250315_222701.jpg.487bb7188f5f552b4ea0dbd133a4adda.jpg

The Vanguards Mk2 Granny is always a nice thing to have. This one looks good in Midnight blue, sadly my phone and photographing skills dont really capture the colour very well here.

IMG_20250315_222820.jpg.23e67290a05b3e5343edcfb61519b834.jpg

IMG_20250315_224559.jpg.2063b41b620676902d0ce9c88557e7dd.jpg

IMG_20250315_222936.jpg.344e643b89b73bb10e0cf00803256327.jpg

Being a Professionalmania commission, this Granada is a little bit better detailed than Corgi's. The wheels are done a bit better and the seats are in a two-tone finish,

IMG_20250315_222909.jpg.3748c4d075d5a64774c49b8c48dce6df.jpg

IMG_20250315_223231.jpg.ddd389a9d2734d0962018074cf16d86d.jpg

IMG_20250315_223307.jpg.0bc3940e8e417f7ff2b061d9f0e03295.jpg

Doyle's Capri 3.0S,

i178582.jpg.cf83447be64ed919aaa3af05f75cd55f.jpg

IMG_20250315_223405.jpg.2851ba4174cf340c99ccb37d463146db.jpg

The Vanguards Mk3 Capri casting has been out for a while, but it still holds up well. I always hoped they'd do a version of OAR as I think it looks brilliant in Solar Gold.

IMG_20250315_223424.jpg.837c96b909600b956370d05a0aea1862.jpg

IMG_20250315_223549.jpg.c4627c8cbd0885a105f3afffd8bbd670.jpg

IMG_20250315_223505.jpg.0eb8eabf0d93d4534b72c18bd8970eac.jpg

The Carla check interior looks lovely in Autoshite-friendly brown.

Biggest improvement on the Professionalmania Capris S releases over the standard Vanguards ones, is the wheels, which Tony had tooled up by Corgi at his own expense, and really make the cars.

IMG_20250315_223617.jpg.aae47192ab06d1cf86bad70fdf0b3c84.jpg

IMG_20250315_223629.jpg.10c476c47c458bd5af2dccfcc884d4d7.jpg

This does of course mean that OWC 827W, Bodie's silver Capri from this series is missing.

prof3144zr9_2757.jpg.23c7f36f7192b48124160ab8aca10310.jpg

However, in the cabinet, I have the older Vanguards release  of UOO 303T, so after a quick dodgy plate change (which did happen to a lot of the real film cars I suppose...)

IMG_20250315_224317.jpg.1da40a30067e3da53e137d2dfb6eb97a.jpg

IMG_20250315_224249.jpg.7a463541fb5d294c3721e0c31cf9a6ae.jpg

Yeah, the plates aren't perfect, (my hand-eye co ordination isn't what it was now I'm over the half-century mark 🤣), and theres a slight problem with the Vanguards casting in that the tail lights are ever so slightly too wide meaning that the plate recess is slightly under scale. But they do the job.

IMG_20250315_224445.jpg.ebc53e0631f9de0a803f97ca4bb3d717.jpg

Series 4 cars -  level unlocked!

So, sliding uncontrollably down the CI5 slippery slope, I now have the Capri X pack from series1, (and the gold Capri Ghia in the pipeline), the RS2000, silver Capri and red Granada from series 2 & 3, the Capris and Granada from series 4 and the Capris from series 5. I suppose there are the early BL cars to go after but that would involve converting and painting  existing cars and with me, that would only lead to disaster.

All I need now is for Corgi to start doing the cars from The Sweeney in the Screen Stars range to be in real  trouble...

K-7 transporter is actually in pretty good shape but was at the bottom of the box and absolutely filthy, had to risk a careful wash to get the dirt off. I reckon with a bit more TLC and a load cover this will be a decent example

Funny enough this is the second one this week, I only had the My First Matchbox version up to now. I'd suggest using this one as a base for a Wrecker!

The horse trailer goes with the Dinky Dublo Land Rover. It looks very tall and thin and unsuitable for fat horses.

I'm sure I had a Batboat from new on those wheels.  I may even still have the trailer somewhere.

So, following on from the Corgi branded Screen Stars Professionals twin pack from a few weeks ago, comes the Professionalmania take on a Capri/Granada set.

Bit more sought after this one, as it's a fairly limited edition by today's standards and in this set, both cars are from the same series (4 in this case), unlike the Corgi one.

The box inner also acts as a diorama for display purposes, once the cars come out of the protective bubble,

They can be fixed to the inner with some Vanguards type fixings.

The Vanguards Mk2 Granny is always a nice thing to have. This one looks good in Midnight blue, sadly my phone and photographing skills dont really capture the colour very well here.

Being a Professionalmania commission, this Granada is a little bit better detailed than Corgi's. The wheels are a little better detailed, and the seats are in two-tone.

The Vanguards Mk3 Capri casting has been out for a while, but it still holds up well. I always hoped they'd do a version of OAR as I think it looks brilliant in Solar Gold.

The Carla check interior looks lovely in Autoshite-friendly brown.

Biggest improvement on the Professionalmania Capris S releases over the standard Vanguards ones, is the wheels, which Tony had tooled up by Corgi at his own expense, and really make the cars.

This does of course mean that OWC 827W, Bodie's silver Capri from this series is missing.

However, in the cabinet, I have the older Vanguards release  of UOO 303T, so after a quick dodgy plate change (which did happen to a lot of the real film cars I suppose...)

Series 4 car level - unlocked!

I suppose there are the early BL cars to go after but that would involve converting and painting  existing cars and that would only lead to disaster.

All I need now is for Corgi to start doing the cars from The Sweeney in the Screen Stars range to be in real trouble...

They have the correct casting for a Sweeney series ,so should be down to licensing.

They've already done the mk4 "S" from the Sweeney 2 film

Super haul @bunglebus

The Hilux should have an orange generator trailer behind it, in case you ever find one . I have this and the 4x4 version. The 2wd version have the round lights of the earliest Hiluxes whereas the 4x4 had that detail removed to make it more up-to-date.
