Never heard of that before, but both the Dino and Fulvia appear to be the old Mebetoys castings (the Mebetoys logo is almost intact on the base!). Wonder if they did any others?

Struck a gold mine in Aldi today. Must be the last of the current range going out before the new stuff comes in. But it was a massive box and there were loads in there, including some I already got. But I picked these up. £1.49!!!! Worth it.

Had a strange experience today. Won this Hot Wheels  Heavyweights on eBay yesterday 

It was local so I asked if I could pick it up - all good. Then VW collecting nemesis sends me a Facebook message - it's his. Fair enough. But when I turn up and he opened the door I clocked the display cabinet in the hall and realised I'd been there before - 2nd of March 2019 to be precise, bought this off him

I remember it well as my partner was in the car and I spent ages looking at all his Hot Wheels Beetle castings. 

Anyway, he ended up giving me a couple of other bits FOC which was nice of him

I already had one of those - think @Datsuncog discovered it one Tat Friday

Never seen this version of the MC Toys baja before though

And yet another version of the copy of a copy of the Sand Digger, the type with the sticky roller underneath so it crawls down walls

There's no maker on it,it just has Warner Bros 1980 on the boot.A bit of research found this on eBay though

The wind up motor on mine does still work,but there's some sort of arm which should come down to make it do wheelies & that doesn't 🙁

Quick trip to town to pick up Master SL and get some milk meant another Tesco visit, they seem to have restocked the HWs since yesterday and I came home with these (plus he got a GR Supra as well):

Short update from me today. Had a few minutes spare so I took a look through a box of stored die casts and came across this @Datsuncog sourced Corvair:

I harboured ideas to repaint it but honestly, I'm a sucker for some period cosmetic restyling. Won't hurt to get the windows cleaned at some point, though. But the lack of tyres is a clear issue.

 

Then I remembered the bag of grommets I'd bought a few months back, which I ended up not using.

As they are, they'd be ideal to re-shod a truck of some sort but with a flick of a knife, 2 of the grommets could be repurposed into a full set of boots for the Corvair.

Nowhere near perfect but literal pence to acquire and I quite like the big fat tyre wall as a result. 

 

The effect will certainly fit the bill for my mock-up idea of creating a display of sorts.

I managed to fish an old tyre out of the BOAC bus, which has since provided the Vanguard with a full set. This was just a test to see how compact I can make a display (so I don't have the excuse of running out of space as the reason to stop buying die casts) but I'll need to assemble more materials before I'm ready to start the project.

And also complete numerous other half done/not even started jobs of actual importance.
