Ah yes, knew I'd mess up at least once reusing the same template. Should be fixed now, but no idea why they made that one 1:16

Posted

So it fitted the box a bit better probably, those A110s are tiny in real life  :-D

Quite a few 1/18s are actually a bit more or less depending on the size of the real car, especially Bburagos. The Mini is 1/16 and the big Rolls Camargue is 1/22.

I have a 1/25 Polistil Alpine and it's only a bit bigger than a 1/36 Corgi Rover SD1!

I have a Bburago Fiat 500 Abarth which is 1/16, but at least it's honest and the box does say that!

Being inside an A110 feels like having reclined in a lawn chair and then someone poured liquid fibreglass over one, which then hardened to a skin merely one inch away from one's body. I have never felt this claustrophobic in any other car. The doors merely consist of semi translucent blue paint and at speeds above 50, the front lid gets dented inward from the airstream. It's completely beyond me where the guys winning rallys with them could have possibly stored their balls, especially when considering the size those must have been.

I've just been out buying again, the local glass & mirror emporium does the odd bit of diecast, got a Vanguards Lotus Sunbeam in black/silver, Range Rover Vogue in dk blue and the Car SOSIGE featured RS1600i scrote for a fairly reasonable £48. Bonus James Bond P38 that I've modded slightly as well  :)

Better shots of the latest shite. Also got a Bedford CF on the way from France. Sadly I notice a typical Corgi FUCK UP, as they've used the seats and steering wheel mouldings for a Ghia! Cockends!

If there was ever Ferrari to fit into the Autoshite category, it would have to be the Mondial.

With that in mind, I bought one.

In an ideal world I'd find a 1:18 Mondeo to park next to it. Work in progress.

Bugger!  That's nice, I thought it was a real one and was looking for a piccy of the model that you'd bought to go with it.

More class photos from you RUK, I love these is-it-a-real-one-or-not photos you do.

I had a Micromachines Mondial back in the day so obviously I love these!

I've got one of those!  Mine's in the dark aubergine that almost looks black.  It was payment for using my first Cadillac to take a couple to their wedding anniversary celebrations, so that tells you how long I've had it.  I sold the Caddy in 2002!

This next post is little more than BL filth, including the yellow wedge of cheese from this parish, and bonus Eddie Stobart dizler Transhit, and that Marina is aqua, so all together now.... 'Marina....Aqua Marina... Why won't you start, you miserable piece of BL tin?' All purchased from Huntingdon toyfair. Was hunting for a Vanguards Peugeot 309 Style, but no joy, ebay it is.

Y0 Fel, why not get Norev Peugeot 309 'Profil' 1/43 scale model. It's a 5 door and looks genuinely Povvo spec. I love mine.

Iain, it's for a 'project' involving swapping bits with a 309GTi I have to make a couple of 'interesting' models :)

Mine is grey.

I also turned the tyres around to get rid of those ghastly whitewalls.
