Been after one of those Majorette KAs for ages. The Schabak Scorpio saloon is ace too. Bought one from Felly Magic a few years ago. Swapped it for a Renner 14 as I already had a hatchback ine and REALLY wanted a Bburago 14!

Dear Mr Lobster

I herewith declare, that for the record, and in history, I am demanding to be the first one to be put on the top of the waiting list for the 1/24 scale Greenlight Bluesmobile and Chi-Town cop car. I don't give a flying monkey how much they are, I just bloody WANT them. Period.

Do something, FFS!

Now that we have the technicalities sorted, would you other gentlemen please be so kind and acknowledge, that the queue is behind me?

Noted, thank you :)

I'll look into it next week and see what information might be uncovered.

I had that packing case parcel thing that's proudly perched on the back of the transit, I seem to recall it came as an accessory with a large-ish forklift truck that you could steer by turning the exhaust stack, and had a red knurled knob to raise and lower the forks.

I've recently decided to rationalise my collection, I don't know whether it's nostalgic or what but I've decided to re start collecting Matchbox, I'd stopped when I was a kid but then recently as Sierra junior has started to show an interest in them its rekindled my interest in them. Its about the one thing that kids have today that's better than when I was a kid. Some of the range they turn out now is superb, it's just a shame they don't do the variations like colour changers and Laser Wheels anymore.

I now possess a 1:18 model with windows which actually glide up and down when you turn a crank. Yes, really. Ideally it would have been a Fiesta 950 Popular, but it's a 1958 Studebaker Golden Hawk instead.

I'll have to grin and bear it. FOTOEZ:

One for the SVM, Volvo 245 in 1/76 scale from Oxford. Still waiting for the Vectra that sneaked out before Christmas but because all Vauxhalls are shit my supplier is struggling to get hold of one.

Aren't those wheels more like 140 than 240 style though?

That Studebaker is a honey, good price too. I heart cool working features on models, thats the best I have seen so far!

So I previously mentioned my Granddad's collection that I've inherited. Didn't take them with me a few days ago but will have to at some point in the spring. Anything interesting here? For some reason photobucket won't let me rotate them

I had a load of stuff recently like that, sold them as a job lot on eBay ideal for car booter I put. The Models of Yesteryear aren't especially valuable, most people put them on the shelf hence didn't get played with lost etc, hence there's loads of them about.

As a benchmark I would suggest listing Corgi/Burago stuff seperately on Ebay, and as Sierraman suggests, stick the Yesteryears and Lledos on as job lots.  Unfortunately some of these lavishly boxed "limited" and "special" editions were sold with "investment" potential that just was never realised.

Its almost exactly the same kind of stuff willed to me by a late Uncle and despite my fervour for die-casts I couldn't find it in myself to keep a single item.

This thing is called a So Fine, it's a 1951 Buick Roadmaster led sled.

Thanks, I feel a bit bad planning to sell them for so little, but ultimately I just don't have the space nor interest in vehicles from that era. The only one I will keep was his one of these:

Because that's the power station he worked at for many years, so a lot of sentimental value

A lot of my collection is similarly sentimental - Grandad worked at Esso so I have a random assortment of tankers......

Perhaps this should be in the Grumpy thread but seeing diecast with a blatantly incorrect registration really annoys me. That's a Mk3 which ran until 1986 so D plate. Ok it might even be a very shonky Mk4 which ran until 1991 so H plate. No way it should be on a K plate.

Very nice, reg plate aside

I had a Pony Express example N162NKG! Corgi went even further than that though- the SD Revopak N type bin lorry, last made in about 1980, was still being peddled by Corgi as a modern Biffa waste vehicle in 2002!

To be fair the model isn't that great, with painted red rear clusters and no wing mirrors. It's just the Kingsnorth power station bit on the side, although it does have the correct phone number a quick google shows it now belongs to Eon UK

I had the Radio Rentals 'scort van (in fact I still do, somewhere) but all the livery flaked off. Also somebody stood on it at some point so one of the wheels is rather oval. But the rear doors still work, or did when I last saw it.

I've several in varying States of disrepair. I've a brown and tan coloured one, AA, Police, Kays catalogue one.

Might be yes. The previous owner took the stickers off. Also got the Telecom van, forgot that. I'd love the Gas one, just because I remember them like that despite the Gas Board buying Maestros and Itals not Escorts in that era...
