@FakeConcern remember this?

My wife 3d printed a new tyre for it!20250312_135321.jpg.0be1c882064c4a11f7da362a302e7cb1.jpg

It needs a wee drop tacky glue to hold it to the rim and painting obviously,  but that was the only thing holding up the resto. Now it's a goer!

Im off out to the garage tonight to drill out the rusted screws, repair the bent windscreen top and strip the paint.

That's great! I had been looking out for the seller with Scalextric tyres in case I could find something suitable, but that is so much better. Looking forward to the resto now.

That’s amazing. I’m a total fucking novice at things like that but how do you do that?

My wife has become pretty skilled at TinkerCAD program, she's knocked up a large number of items for her dolls houses.

Can't claim the credit for this one though. This tyre was a basic pre-existing file which she adapted to fit the Fiat's wheel hub.

I've got the file now too, should I break it when taking it on and off for painting.

Delighted!

Some interesting possibilities with this 3D printing lark.

If it wasn't for the busted screen...

and missing door, this road sweeper would be quite good. Luckily I have a few more of these in bad shape so I might be able to rob some parts to improve it.

Again more smashed windows. I reckon little Jimmy was left alone with a little toffee hammer for an afternoon.

Also the friction motor is broken. I've taken the base off and one of the cogs is not stay in its proper place.

Two-tone Imp repaint. You can see the tool marks on the screen where Jimmy tried to break it.

I might use something more aggressive than just washing up liquid and water to clean this up some more. Also the tailfins could do with a bit of a tweak.

That smells like old oil in there. Some one must have entered the playground GP with this and oiled the axles.

@MiniMinorMk3 I bought a lot of 1/36 Corgis on marketplace that looked minty fresh ages ago, many boxed.

Every, single one had a cracked windscreen. If memory serves there were a couple of Merc 240Ds which were immaculate but both had the nearside rear tail light removed.

I was fucking livid. They weren't expensive but... why?!

All the pre-1/36 Corgi/Dinky faults can be fixed, one way or another.  If Steve Flowers doesn't carry what you need, there will be another model along sooner or later that can be scavenged.  Might be interesting to try 3D printing some bits, like doors and bonnets...

Long time no see in this thread. Haven't picked up a whole lot recently, but was happy to get these two 1/24 scale Dacia's recently from Hachette and Whitebox respectively.

All good this end, hope the same can be said for you.

Also just remembered I liberated some gems from a Romanian flea market late last year, but I'll wait for some decent light to photograph them.

I think I've found where my mystery wheels are from

LAMBORGHINI Miura P400 (1979) MEBETOYS L1100042 PXL_20250311_143452786

Now I certainly haven't scrapped a Mebetoys Lamborghini Miura, so they must have been in the big box of assorted bits I think given to me by a local shiter some years back, also the source of some mystery (and very nice) slot mags I put under my custom Commuter

Matchbox Speed Kings Mercury Commuter custom

Looks like I'll have to find something else for my current project, I don't have a lot of choice when it comes to 1/36 or 1:43 cars, unlike 1:64
