I'd seriously consider signing leasing contracts for quite a few of them.

I do like the X1/9, some of those look pretty good although I'm not sure which cars some of them are meant to be modern versions of.

Everything looks right on the designer's sketches. But these are generally more interesting than the generic crap we all have to look at today, I'll take the Lancia, it seems to have most ground clearance. 

 

Wouldn't be surprised if some of the manufacturers do take note of this thread, I'm sure some of them read Autoshite.

Ah, never mind, I found that if you click on the images to get larger versions, it shows you the file name which usually has the name of the car in it.  I'm not too up on my big Opels!  The Manta's not bad looking mind, nor is the Renault 5.

 

I used to draw cars as a kid and went through a phase of 'modernising' cars like the Escort & Rover 100 as I had brochures lying around at the time, quite inspired to have another doodle now.  I was thinking a modernised Rover R8 would be good, then I remembered they actually did that with the 400/45.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I looked at the Wartburg for ages trying to work out where I'd seen headlights like that , but it was the line of the bonnet into the door that gave it away.
