freebird Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Bought this today for my daughter, she is learning to drive.. Ladies and gents, I give you Japans finest, the Toyota Starlet. Solid , clean and a little peach to drive, she comes with a whole 5 months MOT and a custard skin pulling 998CC Not bad for £380, right?I did my usual chod shopping before i found this, you know, crusty KAs, tired Swifts and the like and, in all fairness, if this little darling has survived for 19 years she must have been looked after for the bulk of them.I need to teach my daughter that its choke isnt for hanging her handbag on, window winders only work if you turn them and non PAS will require effort and concentration. In saying that, i dont think she will baulk at its basics as she did suggest to me that an Allegro would be a "cool" car to own!!!Talk about generation gaps, it appears that the young crop of 19 year olds see what we call "Autoshite" as anything but.Happy days!!
Guest Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 blimey many dunno what a choke is A mate of mine from Uni couldn't start my Amazon because of this. He also couldn't understand why there was no central locking.
Rusty Pelican Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Top purchase , much better than Ford KA with the optional outer sill fitment
ProgRocker Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Nice one! Can't go (very) wrong with Japanese built cars.
